Third Floor Common Room; Early Saturday Evening.
Chad (and Prince Oscar Pedro, of course, faithful perched on his shoulder and purring happily) shuffled groggily into the kitchen. He'd just gotten up not too long ago, and was in need of coffee first, breakfast second.
Yes.
At about six o'clock in the evening.
Shut up. That's what weekends were for, right?

Not dirty.
"Hey," he said when he found a common room with someone in it. "How's it going?"

Prince Oscar Pedro, though, gave a much more interpretable meow, bright and happy, although a little bit scratchy. His naked rattail swung back and forth like a pendulum across Chad's back and he looked happily at the newcomer to the room with his large protuberant eyes. He'd had a very productive day, you see, in sharp contrast to Chad, having spent alllllllllll morning chasing dust bunnies from out under the beds in their room.

...And then Chad, although his face didn't change, glowered at the coffee machine, as if that would intimidate it to brew faster.

Prince Oscar Pedro's eyes got a little bigger, which was kind of amazing, seeing as they were pretty big already, and there might have been a slight wibbling face as his claws dug deeper into Chad's shoulder. That last shrug made him feel terribly close to slipping.

The faint scent of coffee piercing the air preceded the actual start of the coffee pot starting to be filled. If Peter looked closely, he could probably honestly say that that was a smile on Chad's face.
Kind of.

In other words, there would be more than enough, and Chad would be happy to share. Should it ever finish freaking brewing. Chad also started to think, with another grunt, about what he might want to have for breakfast, and thinking Peter could have some of that, too, when he got to that. Might be a while, though. He let out a sudden, long, Chad-size yawn, so it was very big.

"Good evening," he said.

The grunt was, however, a good evening back.

"Thank you," he repeated, blowing on it a bit to cool it.

"Good stuff." Chad, now gaining vocal abilities, was still a bit monosyllabic.

Oooh. Really had two syllables! He was really coming around. He took a sip.

Just when the silence seemed to suggest that this was all Chad had to say, he added, "You?"

"... did you sleep all day?" Makoto asked, hiding a grin.
