The Roof, Monday night

After talking to Hoshi, Annette was feeling pretty low. Snubbing Jack like she has; her date with Billy that didn't go so very well because of the movie choice and her lack of enthusiasm, plus Dick hasn't talked to her at all. Not even tried. Even a teeny tiny bit. And then A.J. and her big fat mouth... well, it was time for a visit to the roof for much pondering. So she was there, just standing, not at all herself as she gazed out across the school grounds and beyond.

[It's open cause it's public territory, yo!]

Yeah, that's what he thought. Still, A.J. held her a little closer, to seem more supportive, as they started through the door and down the stairs. "You really don't, you know," he added, quietly, but in the type of voice that made it clear that he wasn't going to press beyond that. Not right now.

"Bed is good," A.J. agreed, giving Annette's arm a little bit of a comforting rub. Thankfully, they wouldn't have far to go until they got to her room. She needed some rest. And maybe, although it wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do, after he got her settled, he could take a quick look around her room for places she might have more of those pills and flush them all down the toilet. He couldn't be the nice guy all the time, here. And this was important.

A.J. helped with her shoes; he helped with her coat. He helped her get into bed and lightly kissed her forehead again. "Get some rest, okay?" he whispered slightly, even though he'd noticed that she was pretty much already out of it.

Annette would find herself deprived of those pills in her pocket, the bottle of vodka, and one of the bottles from the trashcan (A.J. might need to give this doctor prescribing them a call, wondering if he realized that they were being abused) in the morning; the drawer, being locked, was safe, although it did give A.J. a pretty good idea of where to send Ino if he could convince her to help.
