Fourth Floor Common Room, afternoon

One look outside at the weather was enough to convince Isabel that staying indoors and watching TV was the best way to spend the day. She made herself a cup of hot chocolate then curled up on the couch to watch a mini-marathon of the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency.

Waiting until tomorrow morning for the hunting excursion was driving Turtle a little bonkers, so she went to go look for a distraction and found some on the fourth floor.

"Oh! Modeling show! Good choice!" She plopped right down on a couch without pomp or circumstance to enjoy Isabel's so-bad-it's-good taste.

"Eye candy and Janice being bitchy," Isabel grinned. "What more do we need?"

Chuckling slightly, Turtle agreed. "Not much. And it's about business, too! Really, not much better than that."

"I think it'd be good for the business if she kicked her partner to the curb," she replied, making a face at the TV. "He's smarmy."

"And no decorum," Turtle said, shaking her head ruefully. "Janice may be a bitch, but I think she's got a really smart wit about business sometimes."

"Absolutely," Isabel agreed. "She's taken what she was and built a pretty successful new career out of it. But she really needs to lay off the Botox on her lips."

Turtle's face twisted into a frightened sort of expression that made it very clear of what she thought of that Botox. "Amen. Scary, scary stuff..."

She paused a little, because the plastic surgery face could be kind of mesmerizing when she talked, and then shook her head. "Fashion is a pretty lucrative business. If I wasn't already up to my eyeballs in the service industry and now having to focus on law school, I would totally reap it for all its worth and start a Fandom Agency. With the load of pretty we get at this school, that could be one successful endeavor."

"She's starting to look like that one woman on Hearts & Scalpels. That's just tacky."

Isabel took a moment to consider her fellow students and nodded. "Extremely successful. We're probably the only school in the world where the yearbook can double as a catalog of a modeling agency's stable."

"So the store? And now law school? That's impressive."

Turtle ducked her head a little; aww, the girl was having a rare moment of modesty. "Aww, it's not that impressive, is it? There's a good handful of other students here looking into law, too. I mean, I guess I'm getting an early start on prepping myself for it, since I've still got two years before I even graduate high school, but, I mean, it's important! You can never be too prepared for something important."

Sky stopped by the common room on his way back to his own room after work to see who was in there. Forgetting for a moment, of course, that he was still DRESSED AS A GIANT BANANA.

Isabel blinked. "Well that's not a something you see everyday. But then again, it's Fandom. I could be looking in the wrong places."

Sky blinked right back, then looked down at himself.

"Oh... right. This is my work uniform," he said, by way of explanation.

"The Banana Stand right?" she asked, remembering hearing it mentioned on radio. "Or is there some other place on the island that likes to torment its employees."

Sky nodded.

"Yeah. I like the job except for the whole dressing up like a banana part. I'm seriously considering telling Mr. Manager that either the suit goes or I go."

"Tell him that wearing it every time you work is diluting it's impact," Isabel suggested. "And that it would probably work better as a marketing gimmick if it was only used occasionally."

"Not a bad idea, thanks," said Sky. "And that really is true- I mean, I still get laughed at on the radio, but that's mostly from people who see me in it for the first time."

"Well keep in mind, that radio's purpose is mostly to mock," she pointed out. "Filling people in on what's happening is just a quirky but useful side effect of the mocking."

"Yeah... that's true," said Sky, scratching his head. "At least I don't get laughed at too often otherwise. Stared at, of course, but not laughed at too much."

"Hey, Sky!" Turtle waved from the couch, sinking into the cushions in an attempt to keep from just giggling terribly. She knew he had to wear for the job, but maybe he was just getting to like it, too.

"Hello, Turtle," said Sky, as pleasantly as he could manage, and waved back. "Giant Banana Man has come to visit!"

"...Did you just forget to take that off," Turtle chanced to ask, her grin as wide as...well, a banana, "or are you really just starting to like it? I must say, it does wonderful things for your hips, dahling."

"I haven't even been back to my room yet," said Sky, pouting, "and I can't exactly strip it off in public, even though I do have clothes on underneath. I just heard noise here and thought I'd see who was in, that's all."

"In your banana suit," Turtle added, with a nod, lest he forget the most important part.

"Yes. In my banana suit. Which caused two certain seagulls to follow me all the way home."
