The broom sweeping the floor around Romeo's feet wasn't so bad; it was silent, and no more distracting from his book than a maid at home would have been. (The fact it seemed to be powering itself was a bit distressing, but less so than talking shoes had been.)

But when a container of Lysol started hovering near his coffee-table-propped-feet, he really needed to jump up and protest. "They do not smell bad!" he informed the air, glaring.

It had been a very strange week.

"That may be, but my home isn't normal, even without magic" Romeo said fiercely. "Odd and often difficult, but far from boring."

Yeah, he missed Verona.

"My home's got a war going on," Sokka replied. "And no television."

"We have such fighting in the streets it may as well be a war," Romeo shrugged. "But we do get television."

"...And you need to go home so you can stop it," Sokka said, finishing a thought that was probably not Romeo's. "I'm totally with you, there."

"If I could I would," Romeo said.

It hadn't been his thought, but it was a nice one.
