Cheerleading Practice, Tuesday after classes, The Gym - [3/11]

Annette rolled out the mats, pulled out the bleachers, and hung up a poster she worked on last night that welcomed the newest Gremlin Cheerleaders: Brooke, Naomi, Doom, and the new Gremlin Mascot Robin the frog.

After turning on some music that was always fun to practice to, she set out all kinds of moddable snacks. Healthy snacks from fruit to granola bars and lots of water, flavored too.

The sign-up sheet was out and Annette grabbed her mat and began doing some stretches while she waited for the other cheerleaders to show up.

"I sure hope whoever-it-is won't be too disappointed when I swipe their popcorn," she grinned, snagging a handful. "Did you come here to be all supportive or are you just here for the bouncing and skimpy outfits?"

"We doing good so far?" she asked, hands on her hips. "Any requests? More bouncing, more splits, we're here for your amusement."

"You know," Reno grinned, "the warm-ups and stretches are some of the best parts, yo. Maybe go down there and warm up again. I'd like that."

"I was teasing," she said, giving him a sharp look. "But I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, zoto."

"What's cheer for if it ain't meant to be appreciated by guys with refined tastes?" Reno stuck out his tongue and offered her some more popcorn. Totally a peace-offering. "You're doin' good, though. Got that whole bouncy cheerleader thing mastered, zoto."

"I'm an expert," she said, bouncing on her toes. "I've been on the squad over a year now. We totally had a competition last year and won."

"Wouldn't doubt it for a moment, yo."

He wondered how many times the squad had to flip their skirts to get into the good graces of the judges.

Look at the squad. Really. Not many times, of course.

"How's about a cheer or somethin'? Show me what it is you do down there besides warmin' up."

"I thought you liked the warming up," she snickered. "Fine. I'll go back to the squad and see what we're doing today. Miss me?"
