5th Floor Common Room, Friday Evening (Annette's Surprise B-Day Party)

Billy had never planned a surprise party before. That's okay because this one hadn't been exactly planned either. There was a posterboard sign saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNETTE on it on the wall, and another near a table that said PLACE PRESENTS HERE.

He set about putting out the food he'd gotten and drinks.

FLeeing at the first opportunity was not on his mind. At all. Because this totally wasn't awkward.

"I kind of wasn't expecting to see you... cause you know... but I'm glad you came, I mean I know I said that already... but, um, you know."

"I didn't, but... Hi. So I'm here, and with the... there's a party," he finished.

Annette looked down at her shoes. "I've made everything awkward for you, haven't I?" It's not like she never thought of that night, geeze. She did. Lots. Sex was fun and she enjoyed it. Lots.

Sex was fun. Lots of fun. He wasn't complaining about that, just...the fleeage the next morning.

"Well...kinda?"

"Okay, I'm sorry. I don't mean to make you feel awkward at my own party, so... I'll just go... over there now and then no more awkward." She smiled a little sadly and turned, walking away from him.

He turned to watch her go, not dropping his eyes until she had mingled with other people.

He felt like a jerk for making her feel bad at her own party.
