Third Floor Common Room - Wednesday After Work - 4/09

He still felt bad about no longer being able to spend his lunch time with Andrew since he'd taken on the new job, and so he was back in the kitchen again (though this time on the third floor of the dorms) making up dinner so that they could still share a meal together for the day. That said, he'd been in a kitchen all day and his creativity was rather spent.

So he was making a big heaping pot of chili.

Hopefully, Andrew wouldn't mind it being simple.

Andrew attempted to sneak up behind Liir, wanting to surprise him with a hug.

Liir was a paranoid little thing, but he was also tired and very focused on making sure he didn't foul up the chili.

As such, he was unsuspecting Andrew-prey.

When Andrew was close enough, he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, not crying out anything, and attempted to give him a nice sloppy kiss on the neck.

He let out a little sigh at the hug and, upon being kissed at the back of the neck, did a very good impression of a melting popsicle in Andrew's arms. The spoon he'd been mixing with dropped into the pot and he smiled.

"Hello."

Said low and soft and very warm.

"You dropped your spoon," Andrew pointed out, not moving. His current position also drove home another fact: "You're tall."

"I grew a fingerlength or so," he admitted as he settled back against Andrew. "And the spoon was dropped against the side of the pot. No harm.

"You're warm."

Andrew nuzzled at Liir's neck. "Well, you smell good."

He shook with a chuckle.

"I think that's the food," he pointed out as he turned around to press a kiss to Andrew's forehead.

"I hope chili is all right. I didn't want to spend the time on anything too complicated. I spent enough time in the kitchen today."

"You didn't have to cook," he said. "Tell you what, next Wednesday I cook, okay? You can just sit back and relax."

He rolled his eyes.

"I offered," he pointed out, "so it's my responsibility to provide the food. And we both work. It's not as if you don't need to sit back and relax."

"So I'm offering next week," he said. "Unless," his eyes darted around the common room, "you'll let me pay you back in other ways." He whispered the last part.

Next week. Not every week.

He could allow that.

"All right," he agreed before looking down at Andrew curiously. "Pay me back in--"

His face went the color of wine.

"Only if you'd really like to," he answered.

Andrew bit his bottom lip and gave Liir his "innocent" face.

"I mean, I'm going to anyway," he said.

He smiled and pressed a soft kiss to Andrew's cheek.

"I'm certainly not going to object."

Andrew could stay like this for a long time if he let himself, but there was food, and it smelled it good. "So what do you need me to do?" he asked. "Get some bowls? Pour up something to drink?"

"Yes and yes," he said honesty with one more kiss to Andrew's hair.

"Pass me the first of them and whatever you think might go well with them."

Andrew got out some bowls, a couple of spoons, set aside some napkins, and filled up two glasses of ice water.

"What all did you put in the chili?" he asked.

"The recipe, well, the original recipe is in that book there," and he pointed to a book that was on the counter far from the stove. "I made a couple of modifications, but they're written in if you'd like to read."

Andrew walked over and took a look at the recipe. "So this cute boy came into the Magic Box today and was totally flirting with me," he said casually, watching Liir out of the corner of his eye and trying to hide his grin.

"Oh? Was it one of the girls who got turned or someone new?" he asked thoughtfully as he served the chili.

He didn't get jealous or upset. Why would he? Andrew was here, with him. Loved him. Who cared what other people did?

Andrew smiled. "It was Isabel," he said. "And get this, she didn't see the glory in being able to pee standing up. It's like a slap in the face to everything that is man."

"Perhaps she had trouble standing up. I know Ino was complaining about her center of balance."

"She didn't seem to be wobbling around or anything," he said as he set the drinks and the utensils out on the table.

He shrugged.

"That was Ino's main complaint. I hope no one gave her any trouble over it yesterday. She was pretty upset."

"I think I would be pretty upset if I woke up with boobs," Andrew acknowledged. "Would you still love me if I turned into a girl?"
