Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday Evening

Triela had been having a bad day. Bad weekend, really, if she were to be honest. The headache had begun on Friday and only intensified through to today. This wasn't something totally new, of course, and so she knew that it would probably peak tonight and that in the morning she'd wake up with just a painful memory.

She had moved herself out into the common room where she could replenish the ice in the towel draped across her forehead without going far and she found herself leaning back in a chair, head flopped back against the head-rest.

The truth was that despite the oddness, she was going to miss this place.

"He could've, at least, told someone that he had a mission." Ino scowled. "I mean, whatever, so I'm not good enough in his opinion to go along? Alright fine, I'm not good enough to go with Dad either--but that doesn't mean he can't tell me he's going! I don't need details, not for that, I know better than that, but saying 'I've got a mission, take care of the dog' would've taken two seconds and be a helluva a lot smarter because then we'd have known he was gone!"

"Yep," Triela agreed off-handedly. "Definitely a moron."

Which was sort of disappointing, really.

[intraspective]

"And the worse part," Ino said, "is he doesn't get why I'm mad at him."

When it was pretty fucking obvious as far as she was concerned.

"Can't he, like, read your mind," Triela asked, her brow crinkling in confusion.

[intraspective]

"Yeah," she said very very dryly, "that's why I'm not getting it. He can definitely read my mind."

"Yeah. That's..." Triela shook her head slightly. "Moron."

[intraspective]

As the water started boiling, Ino tugged down cups and pulled out tea bags. She preferred it loose really, but that was too much of a bother at the moment. "So," she said, "needless to say, work rather sucks at the moment."

"I can see that."

Triela sat silently for a moment, thinking. "So... you need something to blow off some steam. That's what it sounds like to me."

[intraspective]

"Smashing my plants didn't do it," Ino told her, "or training, or staying up all night."

"Then drastic measures are called for," Triela announced, sitting up abruptly and raising her fist theatrically. Which, of course, led to a wince and a groan as she sank back into the chair.

Stupid headache.

"Tea," Ino insisted, setting a cup of it near Triela, "then drastic measures."

"Thanks," Triela managed a grin as she took the cup and sipped carefully. "That's good," she sighed happily.

[intraspective]

"It's just a plant in hot water," Ino said lightly. "Of course I can make it. I'm good with plants."

"Just a plant in hot water, you say," Triela snorted softly. "I know a few girls who could mess that one up."

Ino looked dubiously at her cup. "How do you mess that up?"

"Trust me. Rico's a talented girl."

She shook her head again with a grin. "So, drastic measures. I think that was the earlier topic of discussion."

[intraspective]

"It was," she agreed, "about me needing a proper way to vent."

"I have just the solution," Triela declared brightly. Or at least as brightly as her headache allowed.

"Oh?" Ino looked interestedly over the top of her cup. "Are you going to tell, or just keep it a secret?"

"We'll go buy you a gun!"

Triela has the best ideas.

[intraspective]

She really, really did. Well. In Ino's opinion.

Ino could think of several people that'd very Highly Disapprove of this idea.

Which, really, made it all the more a fantastic idea.

She blinked. "You mean it?" There was utterly no mistaking the glee that had suddenly found it's way into her voice.

"Sure! We'll just head into town and see what we can dig up. This is America, after all, they've got plenty of guns."

Triela was beaming back.

"Well, technically, we're in Greece, which I... don't think is part of America," Ino couldn't help saying, even while she considered the pros of this plan, "but I'm pretty sure there's still a portal to where the island usually lets us onto the mainland for."

"Well, we could go shopping in Greece too," Triela mused with a snort. "But my Greek is terrible, and I'm pretty sure they don't sell guns to just anyone."

[intraspective]

"My Greek is non-existent," Ino laughed. "And I don't technically exist in this world anyway, so yeah, we're probably going to have to do some finagling to get me a gun anyway--so why do it in a language that we're not good at on top of that?"
