Wednesday Evening - Caelum Campfire

Chris hadn't spent much time hanging out at the campfire yet since they had been at the cabins for one reason or another mostly because his mun has been sick/traveling. So after his classes, he had taken a handwavy trip to town to pick up some groceries and, when he returned, he started a fire in front of his cabin.

There was a small table set up with a variety of campfire cookable foods, including a couple of those cooking irons that could turn two pieces of bread and pretty much any filling into a yummy campfire treat.

"You have food!" Ino announced cheerfully. "And hopefully for the snagging thereof. This automatically makes you way less stupid than very nearly any other boy I've talked to today."

She'd slept. She'd healed her bruises. Now Ino was starving and wide, wide awake.

Chris chuckled. "Yes, the food is definitely for sharing," he assured her. "I couldn't possibly eat all of this."

"You are my hero," Ino said, with a bob of her head, as she surveyed the spread, "which is good for all concerned really, because if it wasn't for the sharing I'd be very sad." A beat. "And you never can tell 'round here how much some people can eat, really. Asking is better."

"I guess that's true," Chris agreed. "But I'm a nice guy, so I'm all about the sharing."

"Nice guy or not really sorta depends on the situation, don't you think?" she mused. "But in this case? Yes, totally in agreement."

"If you were hungry, you should have come by the cafe," came a soft, faintly scolding voice from behind her.

"I was sleeping earlier," she said impudently, spinning to hug him. "And at work besides."

"You could have stopped by afterwards," he said as he wrapped his arms around her in return. He kissed the top of her head and gave her an extra squeeze before settling down next to her.

"How are you?"

She leaned against him. "Wide awake!" Ino chirped. "I slept all day."

Which was said with an odd bit of pride.

"Well, 'cept for when Worf came in and yelled at me for sleeping. And told him that Cable-san didn't care, but he's still planning to rat me out." She shrugged a bit. "But I'm pretty sure that Cable-san's the one that put the blanket over me, so I don't think I'll get in any trouble at all."

Other than the luau, which which she considered didn't really count, Mac hadn't done much of the campfire thing yet either. What better to encourage her to actually start than people out there with food? Unlikely most of it would be vegan, but still food.

She brought out her own mug of hot chocolate with her when she came out. "Evening," she greeted as she sat.

"Hey," Chris said. "Help yourself," he said, waving at the totally moddable food.

"Thanks." Mac indicated her mug. "Might take a look in a minute."

"Felt the need for a shopping spree?" she asked, nodding towards the food.

Chris shrugged. "Haven't spent much time at the campfire. Figured I'd do it in style."

"Kick of the campfire-making with a bang." Mac grinned. "Sounds like a good plan."

"Your week going alright?"

"Hi, person I've seen around but I don't think I've actually talked to yet!"

"Backatcha," Mac said with a little smile at the other girl.

"I'm Mac," she added.

"I'm Ino!" she chirped. "Is this your cabin too? And I just, like, missed that memo or something? I haven't been around for the last few days, so, yeah, sorry-if-it-is-and-I'm-supposed-to-know-that-already?"

"Yeah, I think I'm just in the other half," Mac replied. "And don't worry, not like I really knew either," she continued with a slight chuckle.

"I don't even have the 'not around' excuse. I've just managed to fail at meeting people."

"Hey," Summer greeted, sitting near Chris. "You brought food."

"Hi, other girl I've seen around but I can't remember saying hi to before!"

Summer smiled at the other girl. "Well, it's nice to meet you even though I have seen you around, too."

"I'm Ino, and it's nice to meet you too," she offered brightly, "and I'm always surprised by the amount of people that I keep seeing but don't actually know, you know?"

"Yes I did," Chris said. "And I even picked up stuff to make s'mores."
