Little Dipper Campfire [evening]

Okay, so Kaylee was learning her way around the whole campfire thing, now that the rain had let up for a little bit. Tonight, she had equipped herself with marshmallows and sticks, as well as graham crackers and chocolate.

She was, perhaps, a little overly proud of herself for managing a real Earth thing without help from anyone.

Not that she'd really successfully made a s'more yet. She kept burning her marshmallows.

"Yeah," Ned said, nodding. "As to when, Mondays are all my workshops. Any day but that day though evenings are clear. Tomorrow might be too quick. I'd have to work up to being obnoxious."

Cal nodded. "Have to give time to hone our obnoxiousness, yeah," he agreed, especially since he'd been out of practice, but, luckily, he remembered it being insanely easy. Mostly, it involved a lot of whining. "Tuesday's going to work best for me outside of classes and work..."

"I can do Tuesday," Ned said since he didn't have to think about his social schedule. It was easy to do when there was nothing on it. "Tuesday we can go be obnoxious?"

"Yup; and find out what they call French fries. But mostly? Obnoxious."

"And if we go to jail..." Ned trailed off. "If we go to jail, we'll know that fries are serious business here."

"No kidding," Cal muttered, scratching his chin. "I've gotten out of worse legal trouble before, though. Hopefully. Hard to tell, but I guess we'll find out."

"I think we'll be fine." Ned hoped they'd be fine. "And hey, we'd get one phone call, right?"

"There you go! We'll always have that, and then just hope they'll accept long distance."

"Especially if the island moves while we're in there." With his luck, it'd move to like the North Pole.
