Fourth Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Now that they were in the dorms, Some Random Campfire was no longer a reliable source of sustenance, and this time period was woefully lacking in synthetron technology. So Alex had wandered around his floor until he came to the common room, with its kitchen, where he'd poked through the cabinets until he found something that would require no actual skill on his part to allow it to be consumed, and that did not contain chocolate. He didn't particularly care for chocolate, he'd found.

One bite of the Cheetos and he was hooked. Anyone entering the room would find Alex on the couch, guarding the Cheeto bag jealously, his fingers liberally covered with the Cheetos' pernicious orange coating.

Just no one tell him chocolate chip cookies probably have better nutritional value. He might cry.

Adam had been handwavily hanging out in his room all day and decided it was high time he be social. So, to the common room he went.

"Hey," Adam smiled, spotting Alex on the couch. He noticed the Cheetos. Alex had nothing to worry about, Adam wasn't about to steal them.

Instead, he moved to grab some pretzels out of the cabinet.

"Hey, Adam," Jen said, relieved and grateful for the presence of someone who didn't look like . . . well, the other two boys in the room at the moment. "Pizza? I don't think you're getting Alex's Cheetos."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey Jen," Adam smiled, glad to see her. "Long time no see," he joked, feeling like he hadn't seen people in... well, forever. "Sure, thanks," Adam was always up for pizza. "No, I guess not," he laughed. "Not that I'd ever dream of taking them away from him."

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Don't tell him they're junk food, Jen mouthed at him as she held out the pizza box. He's enjoying them so much.

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Adam nodded, smirking. You got it. He just couldn't help it. Not knowing something was junk food was kind of funny, okay? "Thanks," he stated, taking a slice. "How's your weekend been?"

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not sure where most of it went so far," Jen admitted. "Did you go to that party last night?"

La la la, no mention of hangovers.

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, me either," Adam admitted. He'd been around but hadn't really done much. That needed to change. "No, I meant to but I never got around to it because my mun forgot. Did you go?"

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Jen nodded. "The bar had swings," she said, for all the world sounding like it was some kind of secret confession. "And the dolphins were adorable. They swam right up to the edge of the beach and wow."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh wow," Adam was clearly impressed. No, seriously. That sounded like one cool bar. "Oh man, I missed dolphins?" Yeah, he was sad about that.

"Oh my god. So. Cute," Jen said. Yes, she was being dorkily squeeful, but there was only so much self-restraint she could muster up in the current environment, okay? "Maybe you could go out there again sometime before we end up moving somewhere else?"

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Hmm, I'll definitely try to get out there," Adam nodded, knowing what his goal would be for tomorrow. "Hopefully the island will be nice and not move until maybe Monday?"

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Jen chewed on her thumbnail for a moment as she reviewed the island's moves so far not in a chess match kind of way. "So far it's been about every two weeks, right? Hopefully that pattern'll continue, and hopefully I didn't just jinx it."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Adam had been trying to figure out if the island's moves were just random or some kind of pattern. "Yeah, that seems about right," he nodded, recalling when they'd moved last. "Or, you know, we could end up moving right now."

Okay, hopefully he hadn't just jinxed them. Oops?

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe he'd jinxed them to not move right now. Maybe it cancelled out any potential jinxing on Jen's part.

"All the more reason to check it out before we do, huh?" she said. "I'm still sorry I missed France. Those chocolates my roommate brought me were good."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
The cancellation feat would be pretty cool.

"Oh, definitely," Adam nodded, in agreement that he would do that, first thing in the morning. Okay, perhaps after he had some breakfast. But that would be the only thing on the agenda. "France was fun," he admitted, having taking the time to handwavily see some of the sights. "Yeah, I have to admit it, they do have some good chocolate."

[identity profile] time-flyer-5.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh huh," Jen agreed enthusiastically. "I wonder where we'll end up next? Because a world tour might not have been in my plans, but it's a nice bonus."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-11 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Australia or New Zealand might be nice," Adam admitted, taking a moment to think about where he'd like to go next. "Yeah, it is nice. I suppose we get bragging rights too; we get to tell people back home where we've gotten to visit. Pretty cool."

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Sokka waved. "Hey there."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey, Sokka," Adam returned the wave. "What's up?"

[identity profile] sarcasm-guy.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Not much," Sokka replied. "Same old, same old. You know how it is."

[identity profile] im-afrog.livejournal.com 2008-06-08 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I do," Adam nodded, chuckling lightly. "Do anything exciting, this weekend? So far?" Because, hi. There was still all of Sunday.
