2nd Floor Common Room - Tuesday Evening

Meg wanted to reward herself after working hard today. A cupcake sort of reward. So after showering (she had been playing in the dirt all day) she headed to the kitchen to see if there were any cupcakes in the fridge. But there wasn't any. Not even regular cake. So she decided to take matters into her own hands and make her own damn reward. Meg's cupcakes were better than store-bought ones anyhow.

"I really don't like to sing," Ella declared. "We learned to, in school, but I'd rather not do it if I don't have to. Maybe that's why they don't talk to me."

"Why not?" Giselle asked, looking both curious and worried. "How do you express your heart's desire then?"

Not many people cared about Ella's heart's desire, but she bit back that answer. "I suppose I could write, or talk," she said. "Does everyone sing where you're from?"

"Well, not all the time, of course," Giselle said. She still looked slightly worriedly at Ella. "But talking isn't the same at all."

"No, but ... I wouldn't even know how to sing about my heart's desire," Ella said, trying to laugh it off.
