Third Floor Common Room - Wednesday Evening

Chuck was watching TV in the common room. He wasn't particularly pleased to having to be in such a public area to relax but the flatscreen he had ordered for his room still hasn't come in yet. Chuck was sprawled out on the couch, the remote in one hand and a glass of scotch in the other. He wasn't about to hang out in something called a common room sober.

[Chuck doesn't want people around but I do. So, open!]

Not only was Chad feeling a little hungry, he was also thinking that he hadn't been very social. Not that he usually was, but there were new kids that were probably worth knowing, so, guitar slung over his back and Prince Oscar Pedro Neko-kun, the great naked kitty wonder perched on his shoulder, he decided to check out the common room.

He thought he recognized the guy on the couch from his modeling class, so he greeted him with a lift of his chin and a grunt of a greeting.

"Anything good on?" Chad asked before his head ducked into the refrigerator for a moment. He emerged a moment later with a tomato, and the cat on his shoulder started purring immediately. He carefully took a knife from the cupboard, too, and moved toward the sturdiest chair in the room, taking a seat after moving his guitar and leaning it against the chair. He then sliced off a piece of the tomato and held it up for Prince Oscar Pedro on his shoulder, who gobbled it right up in a mess of purrs.

"Yeah," Chad grunted, slicing off a piece of the tomato for himself now. "There never is."

"You're in Senor Deadpool's modeling class, right?"

"Yasutora Sado," he lifted his chin in a sort of re-greeting now that they were introduced, considering adding the usual comment about everyone calling him Chad, but decided to skip it this time around. He then tilted his head toward the cat.

"And this is Prince Oscar Pedro Neko-kun."

Pause.

"The Third."

Hannibal wandered down one floor, walked past the common room and backed up to go into the common room when he saw it was occupied.

Things were so much more fun with people!

"Anything exciting happening on this floor? Mine's asleep."

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
"And you seem very intent on changing that," Hannibal said, eyes going from Chuck to the television. "Anything good on?"

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
"You a student?" Hannibal asked, not entirely randomly.

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Chad lifted a hand and grunted in greeting to...the other new kid from his nice sturdy chair.

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Hey there," Hannibal said, hoping that was a wave and not some weird signal to some of the things he'd been hearing about. "New kid. To the school, not to life."

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
"...I'd be really confused if you'd be new to life," Chad said, after a moment, because he was initially actually kind of confused by what the new kid meant. He also seemed familiar, which meant he was in one of Chad's classes, and, since he didn't think he saw him today, that meant another one from Senor Deadpool's, probably.

"Yasutora Sado," he introduced himself with another nod. "Not new at all. And this," he tilted his head to the hairless kitten on his broad shoulder, "is Prince Oscar Pedro Neko-kun."

Pause.

"The Third."

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Heeey, cool cat," Hannibal said as soon as he got a look at Prince Oscar. "Badass. He do any tricks?"

Might as well ask.

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Chad gave this careful consideration. Because, clearly, it was a tough one.

"...He can purr really loud," he offered. "And he knows Japanese."

Those counted, right?

"Anything good on?" Dick asked as he walked into the common room that - strangely - wasn't on his floor. He didn't seem to make it off his floor to often. That was weird. But not at all relevant to the narrative, really.

[identity profile] laidanegg.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Why's that?" Dick asked. "Are you one of those masochistic viewers who enjoys that stuff?"

[identity profile] laidanegg.livejournal.com 2008-07-10 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, come on, they're an American institution," Dick said. "Next you'll be saying that there are too many office sitcoms, too."

Cimorene was trying to be social to actual people her own age, so she was wandering around and stopped when she reached a common room with people. "Good evening."
