Torn Toga Party! [Friday evening/night]

The deck was completed, and ready to be used.

The workers had cleared out just in time for the food and drink to be set out, and the coloured lights to be strung along the roof.

There was music, and space to dance on the lawn, and a cool breeze to cut through the heat of the day.

[ooc: In honour of Tiny Toons being released on DVD today, there are random containers of mango juice lying about. Also, any drinks may become mango juice. If a character drinks and says 'Ah! Mango juice!' an inflatable palm tree will fall on their head. Open to all ~~once~~ as the OCD is up!

"And I thought I found her?" Ned asked, nodding towards the person he thought was Kaylee. "I was wrong?"

"No," Chad said, shaking his (Kaylee's) head. "I'm Chad."

He also didn't realize that this probably didn't explain things any better than his previous statement.

"...you look like Kaylee," he said, frowning. "Are you twin sister, Chad?"

He'd never heard that name for a girl before.

"No, I'm just Kaylee for the day," Chad said, simply enough. "She's me. So if you want Kaylee, you should find the really tall guy."

Because that narrowed it down...

"You're just Kaylee for the day?" Ned had so much to learn. "You...traded bodies?"

Teddy smiled at Ned, nodding. "Did you see those posters about switching brains for science? Kaylee looks like a very tall Mexican guy with hair in his face."

Because Chad wasn't going to be much help explaining this to Ned.

"Oh, wow." Ned blinked a few times. "That's...I missed the signs. I don't get out much. So, she's okay?"

"Mexican-Japanese," Chad corrected, as if the Japanese part was ever really that noticeable. It was when you saw his eyes, but, then again, the hair sort of counteracted that. "And, yeah, she's fine. Just tall."

"Oh, okay." Ned stepped back, just a little shell shocked. It was starting to become familiar for him. "Um. You picked a really nice body to switch with."

Shut up, Ned.

"...Thanks," Chad said, after a moment, because he wasn't sure if that was a compliment or not. "'Cept I didn't pick. It was random."

"Oh." Ned winced and smacked his forehead. "Right, I'm just gonna...go before I make a fool of myself some more."

He stepped back.

"Um. Be careful with that body?" He hated that it sounded like a question. And before Chad could answered, Ned fled like a fleeing thing.

"I wi--"

Chad got halfway through the reassurance before he realized that the guy had left.

He blinked, lowered the hand that he lifted, and then just sat for a moment.

Then he remembered that his chair didn't creak when he moved, and was right back to where he started.
