5th Floor Common Room: Monday Night [7-21-08]

Helen was in the common room, clothes strewn on various surfaces as she tried to decide which were the best to cut up and make real clothes with. She'd had enough of the pirate wench garb.

There was a large amount of leftovers from the pasta, cheese, and meat dish she had made for Rodney this evening set out on the counter if anyone was interested.

"A fortuitous accident for me," Seregil said. He took a bite and looked over all the clothing again. "What kind of look were you hoping for?"

"Something simple," she said. "Cool. And black. The hands of Uquar always wear black."

Seregil thought for a moment. "Wait here." He took off down the hall to his room and dug through his chest of drawers, returning a few minutes later with some dark brown leather pants and a blousy black tunic. "How about this?" he offered. "Throw on some of those pirate boots that are all over the place and a belt over the tunic... Granted the pants aren't technically black, but..."

She stared at him. "But those are yours. You would let me borrow them?"

Seregil nodded with a bright smile. "I can only wear one outfit at a time and I've enough I won't miss them."

"Thank you," she said, eyes shining. "Truly, thank you." She began to gather up the mess she had made.

"Is there anything I can do for you in return?"

"You've given me food," Seregil said, waving at the plate he'd set down to go get the clothes.

She waved that off. "I had extra, it was free for anyone. But I will remember that I owe you a favor."

"Perhaps you can grace me with the pleasure of your company some evening," Seregil suggested. "We can go out exploring."

"You would like that?" she said slowly.

"I wouldn't have asked otherwise," Seregil said.

"Then... yes," she said with a shy smile. "I would like that vey much. And I will try not to be grumpy."
