Toby was really very depressed about Kevin being a complete tool and breaking up with him. Again. He didn't feel like doing much of anything after waking up at 1pm all sticky with rum, so he'd showered and drug his pillows out to the common room to watch some daytime drama.

"Oh Colt, you should know better than that," he said, eyes glued to the program. "She's a tramp! Go for Travis, at least he's hot!"

"Uhhh..." Chad really couldn't say that he was. That didn't seem to stop him from sinking into his usual sturdy chair. "I haven't really seen any since my mother was alive and used to watch telenovelas."

"Ooh, sounds exotic," Toby replied. "I'm hoping Colt and Travis hook up this week, but I bet those bastards make us wait till Friday."

"Is that how they usually do it? Drag it out like that?" Chad had no idea; his favourite shows involved one with a puppet lion and one with a ghosthunter who spoke random bits of English and dressed horribly.

"Yeah, they gotta keep us watching as long as they can," Toby told him sadly.

Chad's head tilted slightly. "But you like watching it, right?" he asked. "So why is that necessarily bad?"

"I do. Because they make me wait to find out what's going to happen!" Toby complained. "It really bothers me when people lean in for the kiss and then are interrupted until Monday and then on Monday, nothing happens."

Chad's brain somehow related this more realistically to real life than anyone probably should.

"Okay, that does suck," he agreed after his extensive moment of contemplation had ended.
