Second Floor Common Room [Thursday Evening]

Ned decided to cook.

After realizing he hadn't cooked anything but a can of soup (take out dinners were so much easier) in the last few weeks, he decided to rectify with a new take on a pie he'd made in the past.

So, there were supplies and ingredients and a guy in a flour stained blue apron moving about the common room.

It was sad, if the best that could be said was that a place was better than being homeless, but Romeo wasn't inclined to pry just then.

"Oh, you know Ino?" Romeo brightened. "She lives next door to me. She's an interesting one, isn't she?"

"I do!" Ned smiled. "She's in one of my classes. She's interesting but she makes me smile and she's patient. With me, at least."

"She makes me smile too," Romeo said. "And she got me a gun when we were in Paris. I trust her." Which was high praise. "Which classes are you in this term?"

"Something called Informed Investments which is shopping smart and the other one's about doing irresponsible things responsibly," Ned said. "I'm not sure about that last one."

"Is that the one the woman from the radio teaches?" Romeo wondered. "My girlfriend is taking it, but I've not asked her about it. I have something on destiny, and then modeling and auto mechanics."

"Yeah, that's her," he said. "We did gambling this week. Something I really don't want to do. I'd like to keep my money."

And then, "Modeling?"

"Aye," Romeo said, looking a little ashamed. "I wanted something easy. It's mostly Professor Deadpool trying to get us to dress in drag. We've done heels and makeup thus far."

"Isn't that for girls?" Ned asked because he had to check. Maybe things were weird here.

Weirder.

"Normally," Romeo said. "Professor Deadpool wears red pajamas and a mask, so perhaps his fashion sense for men is just off. He might have false eyelashes and blush behind the mask."

"Huh." Okay, Ned had to restructure some things in his own mind. "Pajamas?"

"It's a red fitted costume .... thing with a mask to cover the face," Romeo said, terribly descriptively. "Someone in class calls it pajamas so that stuck in my mind. I don't know that he sleeps in it."

Though that wouldn't surprise him, really.

"I guess it's...gotta be easier in the morning," Ned decided. "I mean, no need to pick out clothes or anything like that."

"You always match," Romeo nodded. "No need to worry about the season or the weather..."

"Though I'm not sure how that fits into teaching a class on modeling, come to think of it."

"Maybe it's so fashionable it's above us?" Ned suggested.

"That has to be it," Romeo agreed. "Or perhaps it is all the rage in his world, and he's biding his time until it comes into style here."

"I never thought of that," Ned said, tapping a fork on the side of his bowl. "He's teaching through experience that none of us have?"

"I cannot come up with a better theory," Romeo shrugged. "Unless he is just mad, and dresses himself and teaches that class for his own amusement."

"Or he doesn't have enough money to buy clothes?" Ned added.

"That would be rather sad, but it's possible," Romeo said, somber. "My friend Rikku might know -- I should ask her."

"We could start a collection if that's true," Ned suggested. "Buy the teacher some non pajama looking clothes?"

"And then he could wear them for a runway show in our last week of class," Romeo suggested. "It would be money well-spent."

"It would!" Ned didn't even know this teacher. "And it would be the students good deed for the year. No giving us detentions after that."
