Precocious Ponies campfire, Sunday evening

Dean had got lots of marshmallows and sticks to roast them on, and had made it very clear that he wouldn't share them if there was any fighting, so as a result Zoe and John were for the most part getting along for the first time all weekend.

"So who wants chocolate to make s'mores?" he asked.

"Can I just have the chocolate?" Zoe asked, looking cutely at Dean. If she got chocolate before John, that would be very good, in her opinion.

"You don't want it melted with marshmallows?" Dean asked her.

"You can do that?" Zoe said, lighting up. It was possible she didn't actually know what a s'more was, but didn't want to ask.

"Duh," John said, rolling his eyes. "That's why you toast the marshmallows."

"Don't be mean, or I'll get all the marshmallows," Zoe reminded him.

"Not all," John said. "You'd still have to share with Dean and Sammy and Grace."

"I don't mind giving my share to Zoe," Sam said with a smirk. "And Grace is way too little for marshmallows."

"Well, I'm not sharing," Dean said, popping a s'more into his mouth.

Sam rolled his eyes at Dean. "I'll share with both of you then," he said to John and Zoe. "And we can make fun of Dean when he gets sick from eating too much."

"Never happen," Dean said around a mouthful of oooey chocolatey goodness.

"Don't eat them all!" Zoe said, poking Dean in the arm. "You have to give us some."

Dean put a marashmallow on a stick and handed it to Zoe. "Think you can toast your own?"

Zoe nodded and took the stick carefully, holding it close to the fire. "If it gets on fire, will you help?"

"Absolutely," Dean said. He handed Gracie a graham cracker to gnaw on and got another marshmallow ready on a stick.

John watched it carefully. "That for me?"

"Could be. You know what to do with it?"

John rolled his eyes. "Of course. Duh." He held out his hand for the stick which Dean finally handed over.

"I bet mine's going to taste better than yours," Zoe said, focusing on her marshmallow.

"Don't start that again," Dean told them both. "Not everything has to be a competition."

"Not that you'd know that from how we grew up," Sam said, smirking and bouncing Grace on his knee. "Don't worry, we'll save you from the same fate."

"I always shared my marshmallows with you," Dean pointed out.

"I'm pretty sure that was the result of puppy eyes a few times," Sam said, laughing.

"That would be using them for nefarious purposes," Dean pointed out. "Which you keep insisting you never do."

"If you were going to share with me anyway..." Sam said, trailing off with a grin.

Dean pulled another marshmallow from the bag and threw it at Sammy's head.
