Fourth Floor Common Room [Thursday Evening]

After an enjoyable morning filled with apples and s'mores, Hannibal was sprawled on one of the couches in the common room. He wasn't licking himself (he knew what he tasted like and it looked weird to do it too much).

No, he was watching something on television and wondering if anyone else was weirdly affected by this whole thing.

Or maybe enjoyably affected. He hoped so, at least.

Hoshi thought she'd get a jump on studying her script for the play before classes started, except her dog would not stop licking her feet. She finally locked him in her room and escaped to the common room.

"Hi," she said, spotting Hannibal on the couch. "Have you noticed anything weird going on today?"

"Like what?" Hannibal asked, giving her a little wave.

"Like my dog trying to devour my feet, for one thing," said Hoshi. "He won't even touch his kibble because apparently my feet taste better. It's been like that all day."

She tugged at the hem of her cropped t-shirt, which stopped half an inch above her new belly button piercing.

Hannibal grinned but stifled it so she didn't see. "Maybe he's just really got a thing for your feet today?"

Brooke was entirely happy with herself today, and maybe willing to use today to her advantage. "Lick me!" she announced. "It's awesome, I swear."

"I believe you," he said and laughed. "Lick you where?"

"Anywhere you want," she said in a low voice, then stuck out her arm and said, "But later. Right now I'm on a taste test mission and can't be distracted."

"I'll hold you to that," he said and sat up so he could lick her arm slowly. "Oooh, what's that flavor? That's good."

Teyla had spent the day with the strangest taste of berries in her mouth, and she wasn't sure how to get rid of it. She hadn't found anything suitable to drink in her own common room, so she went downstairs to see if she could find some kind of juice or tea that would at least compliment the taste.

Oooh, someone he hadn't met yet.

"Hey there," he said cordially. "How's it going?"

In her search for a drink Teyla had almost missed that she wasn't by herself, and she gave him a friendly smile. "About as well as things ever go here," she said, wondering if there was a polite way to ask someone you didn't know if they tasted strange.

"That good, huh?" He nodded. "I feel the same way myself. Between the doing nothing, sleeping late, watching television and going to bed late, it's been a busy, busy week."

He smiled to let her know he was kidding.

Dick wasn't entirely sure why he tasted like papaya, but he did. It was weird.

"Evening," he said to the people in the common room. "Just curious, is something weird going on today?"

"Depends on what you mean," Hannibal answered. "What's happening to you?"

"Nothing," Dick said as he noted that his teeth even tasted like papaya. "It just feels like a something weird kind of day."

Harry was continuing his tour of the common rooms. Or maybe he was just wandering down a floor out of boredom and curiousity. Or maybe he was hoping for more discussions of cake batter wrestling. It was hard to say.

"Hey," he said, walking in and keeping what he hoped was a safe distance from the TV.

"Hey, man," Hannibal greeted. "Welcome to the common room. Fourth floor version."

"Thanks," Harry said. "Very nice. And not covered in cookie debris like the third floor last night."

"And what do you taste like today?" Brooke greeted him. In some languages that might count as hi.

Harry stared for a moment before recovering.

"Uh. Cake batter. But I figured that was just my brain getting stuck on the idea of cake batter wrestling from last night. Guess it's a common problem then."

Adam still had the taste of lemon in his mouth and he couldn't figure out why. He hadn't eaten anything lemony last night... huh. Though, really? He shouldn't be surprised by now. This was Fandom. Still, odd.

He wandered into the common room, happy to find that no drastic changes had been made while he was away.

"Hey there," Hannibal said, waving. "Welcome to the common room, home of me for the time being."

"Hey," Adam returned the wave, smiling. "Enjoying it?" Yeah, it hadn't changed. He was relieved. "I'm Adam, by the way. I'm in 405."

"Would you care to be part of the taste test experiment?" Brooke asked. She sort of had the air of one of those girls who sprays you with perfume at the mall, but with less of that sort of alcohol and more tongues involved.
