Second Floor Common Room - Early Saturday Afternoon

Harvey had a problem. He was hungry. You think that problem would be easy enough to solve by making food but he couldn't decide what he wanted. It was still early enough for breakfast and yet it could be considered lunch time too. He wanted eggs but he could also go for a sandwich. You would think he could just pick something and get on with it but for some reason he couldn't. He always sucked at making stupid little decisions like that.

So now he had a grilled cheese and scrambled eggs going on the stove at the same time. He figured he was hungry enough to eat both and if he wasn't, well, he figured someone else would want some. He sat himself up on the kitchen counter next to the stove, rolling his father's coin across his knuckles and waited for his food to finish cooking.

[Oooooopen]

"I try," he said, shrugging modestly. "You don't need to know how to cook to survive on this planet."

"This planet?" Dick asked. "I'm guessing you're from way out of town?"

"Way out of town," he agreed. "Place called Caprica. Far, far away."

"You know, I really never expected to meet this many people from another planet," Dick said. "It really changes your worldview."

"Good change, I hope?" Lee asked.

"Oh, definitely," Dick said. "It makes me positive we'll be able to actually find something out in space in my world. That's really encouraging."

People in Dick's world didn't know about a guy from Krypton yet, of course.

"Yeah, the space program here is..." Lee made a face. "Kinda slow."

"We'll catch up eventually," Dick said. "Once we get enough reasons and funding for it."
