Second Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Tony was determined to understand Much Concern Over Nothing, so he'd rented a copy of the movie. He put the movie on with subtitles playing and had his copy of the play open in front of him to follow along. He paused the movie occasionally to make notes or to rewind it and watch something again.

Not the most exciting way to spend a Saturday night, perhaps, but at least it was unlikely to end with him in the ER.

"Much Concern Over Nothing," Tony said. "The theater in town's doing the play and I'm going to be stage manager."

Lola tilted her head. "Stage manager? Was ist?"

"Running stuff backstage," Tony said. "Building sets, herding actors, that kind of thing."

[ooc: And the SM in me goes "the stage manager is not a carpenter!" and then remembers all the times she had to build sets while idling around at a rehearsal. . . .]

"Ah!" Lola smiled. "You have done this work before?"

"Sort of," Tony said. "I worked on a TV show this summer. Not totally the same, but similar."

Lola's eyes widened. "You have worked on TV? Wirklich?"

Tony had no clue what "wirklich" meant. "Yeah, this show called Darkest Night. It's about a vampire detective."

"Ah. I'm thinking that isn't one that made it to Berlin." She shrugged. "But it sounds very interesting."

"It's new," Tony said. "It starts in a couple of weeks. You can hang out and watch it with me when it airs, if you want."

"That sounds like fun. You aren't going to go work on it more?"

[wantstodirect]

"Nah," Tony said with a regretful smile. "They found out I was too young to work there."

[unddann]

"Ah. So you must really like TV. Or you really like vampire detectives."

[wantstodirect]

Tony blushed slightly, but wasn't ready to confess his crush on Lee. "I want to see the stuff I worked on, at least."

"Oh ja, of course you do. I meant the sneaking onto the show."

[wantstodirect]

"It's what I want to do," Tony explained. "Make movies, I mean. I learned a lot."

"What kind of movies will you make?"

[wantstodirect]

"Good ones," Tony grinned. "What do you want to do when you grow up?"

Lola shrugged. "I don't know. I don't think about it, much."

[wantstodirect]

"I guess there's time to figure that out," Tony said.

Lola nodded. "Lots and lots."
