4th floor common room, Monday morning

Early morning found Amber in the kitchen of the common room making breakfast. Waking up totally starved will do that to a person. Also will a craving for french toast, and so far she had filled a better portion of a large platter just in case anyone went sniffing down the hallway. There was bacon and sausage as well, and she was working on scrambled eggs.

Too skinny. Hah!

The yellow sponge guy was on the tv 'cause Amber was a little dorky like that and watched cartoons when she felt like it.

Ino was getting better at eating breakfast, really she was, but that didn't mean she liked making it any better and the smell of food from just below her dragged her downstairs, bright-eyed and perky.

"Morning, Amber!"

"Hey, Ino!" Amber called out cheerfully. "Want some breakfast? I cooked." Which was amazing, really.

"It smells awesome," she said, wandering over. "Yes, please. I'm starving, seriously."

"Hey there, Robin," Ino grinned. "How've you been?"

Robin was wandering the dorms, seeing who was up and about. Then he smelled French Toast But Muppet frogs don't have noses! and found his way to the fourth floor common room.

"Good morning!"

Amber looked over. "Morning Robin," she smiled. "Breakfast? I made plenty."

"I'd love some thanks! How was your summer?"

Not her floor, but the smell and lure of food was enough to tempt Dōjima down from fifth to check it out.

"Ohaiyo," she said, sticking her head in the door. "Tell me that some of that's stealable?"

"Yah, you bet it is," Amber grinned. "Come on over. I made plenty and you can help yourself."

"Dōjima-san," Ino carolled, though she wasn't smiling as much as her voice said she ought to be. "Morning!"

"Yo, Doji!" Reno grinned and sauntered over to talk. As you do. "How you doin'? Still need a professional asshole for future business?"

Reno was proud of his status as professional asshole.

Hurley followed his nose down the stairs and into the common room. He was dressed in a t-shirt, pajama pants, and a robe.

"Dude. That smells awesome," he greeted.

"It does, doesn't it?" Amber agreed. "I made plenty so come on in and eat." Glancing over, she grinned at his attire. "We just roll out of bed?"

Liir, from behind his own plate, waved to Hurley.

After spending most of his weekend in his own room working on a few things (recipes, meditation, some very very tentative magical work), Liir was quite up for a flight. It was just lucky for him that he noticed Amber in the common room on his way up.

"Oh, hello," and he waved to her, smiling even if he didn't realize it. Now that he was more used to the expression, now that it didn't strain his face quite so much, it kept happening and he hardly noticed it.

"Liir!" she grinned and waved him over. "I cooked! Are you hungry?"

Ino eyed him from over her orange juice (third glass by now) and said, "Morning."

Jack's super sniffer smelled him some food, so he followed his schnoz to the fourth floor...and Amber.

"Hey. Smells good. Got enough for everyone?"

"Hey, Jack!" she grinned. "You betcha. Come on over and help yourself to a plate."

Eve didn't have a class until third period, so she totally had free time. And said free time was getting used in search of those truly awesome french toast smells.

"Oooh, I want," she declared as she wandered into the common room.

Amber glanced over at her big sib, grinning wide. "Well get your scrawny ass over her and fix you a plate."

Reno smelled food. Good food. Edible food.
