All Around the Dorms; Thursday.
Especially after encountering Dor, Turtle realized that she had slacked off on this so inexcusably that part of her was feeling she should lose the election just because she had been so slow to the punch. She'd worry about finding that Toby fellow to revoke his remarks later, because, at the moment, a button proudly announcing her campaign, she went around the dorms, putting up her posters. They were clean, colorful posters, a medley of red, white, and blue, with great sparkling stars of glitter:
Vote T.R. Wexler
for Junior Representative
A vote Wexler is a vote for experience and determination.
The T.R. doesn't stand for 'tenacious' and 'revolutionary,' but they may as well!
Please take a pamphlet for more information about the Wexler for Representative campaign
There was an arrow on the posters pointing down to a small little paper basket built into each one, and each basket contained brochures listing all of Turtle's credentials and experience, among patriotic pictures of eagles and some gremlins to represent her love for the school. It also discussed some of her platforms, like funding for clubs, better cafeteria food (always an important one), and more events to create a deeper connection between the student and the townie populations. There was also a coupon on the back for 50% off any purchase at Turtle & Canary, some buttons for the taking, and some lollipops.
With each poster she put up, she drew in a breath and looked them over, with a faint smile of satisfaction for her work, faint under the heaviness of doubt and worry. She smoothed out the poster, made sure the basket would stay under the weight of the goodies inside of it, and told herself that she just had to keep positive and do her best, and everything would be fine.
She hoped.
[[ absolutely open! ]]
[[ETA: The posters now, thanks to Dor, will vocally encourage people to vote for Turtle when they pass by =D ]]

"You know, Marco," she finally said, turning back to smooth out one more thing and plucking a lollipop, wrapped, of course, in a red-white-and-blue 'Vote Wexler' wrapping, from the little basket. She turned slightly and tossed it, lightly, underhand, toward him, "it's campaign time. That's a very important time for me, and I'd appreciate it if you'd help me get elected rather than hinder me. I mean, you're my friend, right? I would kind of think that our friendship would be more important than some new girl you've got a crush on, but I guess I thought too much of our friendship...."
...yup. That would do.

So she just sort of stood there, reading the brochure like it was going to tell her what to do.

Even if she had, Turtle was already producing another one from her bag and offering it to her.

A...lot of competition. Turtle struggled to keep the smile on her face as her stomach twisted again and she felt the hot sting of tears in the corner of her eyes. But it was okay. Democracy. She didn't care what anyone else said, she believed in the system, and the best person won, and, if she didn't win, well, then, she clearly wasn't the best.
And she'd, somehow, have to deal with that. Although she had no idea how.
She gave an encouraging nod of her head, urging Ella to go ahead and take the sucker.

She looked at the flier again. Turtle did have a lot more experience.

She had to see it that way, really.

She'd, of course, studied the student list until she went cross-eyed, and so she knew Ned wasn't in her class, but she liked Ned, he was a friend, and maybe he could help support her.

She dragged off a little, looking at Ned hopefully. She didn't want to seem pushy, though, so she was going to leave it to him if he wanted to know how to help.

She reached into her bag to pull out a button. "You'll need one of these, then. It'll look great on you; the blue will bring out your eyes!"
