5th Floor Common Room: Thursday evening [9-25-08]

Helen thought this was too interesting a situation to just let pass. When else would she have the opportunity to see what it was like being male?

So she handwavily put up a few signs for an impromptu get-together in the 5th Floor Common Room, picked up a ton of drinks and munchies and hoped that some people would show up who might be interested in doing some... experimenting... later.

Penelope saw one of the signs and enjoying her freedom too much, decided to see what was going on, so she entered the common room with a small, sort of nervous smile playing about the corners of her mouth.

Helen smiled at the guy. "Hey, come on in and help yourself. There's plenty here!"

"Thanks," she said, finding complete gratification in eating without having to shove something up under her scarf. She grabbed a bag of chips and sat down on the couch. "How are you?"

"Rather enjoying my day," Helen admitted. "Surprisingly. You?"

"I am loving my day," she said, smiling wide. "It's been very good."

"I'm glad to hear it," Helen said. "Done anything interesting?"

"Probably not by anyone elses standards, but I did go out and about without my usual layers of clothing. I'm eating freely, anything I want, and I'm completely uninhibited around people."

Hurley poked into the common room.

"...wow, I totally recognize nobody."

"It's nice, isn't it?" Helen said with a smile. "And no one has to know who you are if you don't want to tell them."

"It's kind of nice that way," Helen said with a grin. "Come on in. Plenty of stuff to go around."

"...I totally don't know you," Hurley said. "Uhhh, hi."

"It is?" Hurley said. "But... I like... being me. Yeah."

She grinned, a touch wickedly, and whispered, "That is the best part."

"I don't know you either so that makes us even," Penelope smiled.

"Are you, uhhh, normally a dude?" Hurley asked.

"I do too," Helen said. "But from what I've heard it will probably only last one day so... It's a great chance to see how the other side lives."

Penelope considered lying.

It was a sin.

She could go to hell.

"Um. That is an odd question, isn't it?"

"Yeah, well... I'm not normally a girl," Hurley said. "I woke up this morning kinda... not."

Helen laughed. "Oh yes! And can I just say that you are... what do they say here? Hot?"

She raised her brows. "Oh, and who are you normally, if I may ask?"

"Huh, yeah," Hurley said. "That's what my roommate said, too."

Oh, Penelope totally blushed. She giggled and blushed. "Thank you. I kind of think so too. And you are very nice looking yourself. I think my brother used the expression - totes hot."

"I'm Hurley," he said. "I kinda... It wasn't obvious?"

"Oh? Smart roommate," Helen said with a grin. "I have to say I'm enjoying the freedom."
