Helen thought this was too interesting a situation to just let pass. When else would she have the opportunity to see what it was like being male?

So she handwavily put up a few signs for an impromptu get-together in the 5th Floor Common Room, picked up a ton of drinks and munchies and hoped that some people would show up who might be interested in doing some... experimenting... later.

"I'm Hurley," he said. "I kinda... It wasn't obvious?"

Penelope didn't like to assume.

"No. I wasn't sure, Hurley."

"Huh," Hurley said. "I guess I'm... cool, I don't stick out. Or... something."

"Do you want to stick out?" she asked innocently, curious.

"Not really?" Hurley said. "But, like... you kinda get singled out. You know. As the... big kid."

Penelope frowned. "I get singled out too, believe it or not." At least every night in her dreams. So far, aside from Claire knowing, she has kept her true self hidden away.

"What? Why?" Hurley said.

"I... there is something wrong with me," she said softly.

"What?" Hurley said. "What's wrong?"

"I can't say," she said, ducking her head, looking embarrassed.

"Is it anything I can fix?" Hurley asked.

Sadly, only a blueblood could fix what was wrong with her. "No, I'm sorry, there isn't anything you can do."

"Oh. Okay. Just... let me know if there ever is," Hurley said.

"Thank you," she replied, the giggled a little. "Do you know who I am?"

"No clue," Hurley said. "You gonna tell me?"

She whispered cutely, "Penelope."

Hurley smiled and laughed. "What, no scarf today?"

"It didn't go with my new clothes," she grinned.

"Ha!" Hurley said. "Well, so uhhh... we still on for tommorow?"

"Sure," she replied with a smile. "Shall I meet you at the park at any specific time?"

"Uhhh, no?" Hurley said. "I'm free all day so, whenever you want."

She laughed. "How about lunchtime? I could bring a picnic basket and we can enjoy lunch together?"

"Picnic," Hurley said. "Yeah, that'd be cool. Should I, like, bring anything?"

Just don't ask him to bring a blanket. Hurley would forget it, and bad things would happen from there.
