Third Floor Common Room, Friday Night

Dance, shmance. Molly didn't have a date, and wasn't big on dances. Therefore, she'd surrounded herself with horribly excellent horror movies, tons of fully moddable snack food, and was lounging on one of the couches in her jammies and slippers.

Life was good, though she did wonder if anyone else would join her.

Claire laughed when she wandered into the common room, SAT prep book in hand, "Dude, you had the same idea I did," she announced, not sounding as though she minded. "Except I was going to watch Discovery Health and see if anybody's getting a tumor the size of their head removed."

Claire? Morbid? Never.

"Oooh, is that on now? The DVDs can wait until it's done," she offered as she moved her feet out of the way.

"I don't know, but they rerun it every five minutes," Claire pointed out hopefully. "Which DVDs do you have, though?"

Molly handed the DVD cases over to Claire. "We'll have to put that on the list of stuff to do."

She popped a few M&Ms into her mouth.

Claire made a little "may I" gesture with her eyebrows toward the M&Ms. "It has to be the Bruce Campbell one," she decided. "Like, just because it has him in it, I don't even think I've seen that one before."

Hurley shot Claire a little wave. "Not a dancer either, huh?"

"So not," Claire agreed. "Hey, Hurley."

"Kinda surprised," Hurley said. "I kinda figured, like, you'd have a date and stuff."

Claire snorted. "Me? Seriously?"

Meg didn't have a date for Homecoming.

The Red Sox were playing in the ALCS.

It was pretty easy to figure out what Meg was going to do for the night.

Laptop in hand she made her way out to the common room to see if she could watch the game on the TV.

"Hi!"

"Hey!" Molly waved at Meg. "We have junk food and bad movies."

"And I have a laptop to keep track of the game score," Meg smiled. "Does it get much better then this?"

"What game?" A baseball fan Molly was not. "We could have guys here to massage our feet and feed us chocolate?"

Then she thought about that. "Not at the same time, and not without washing their hands first, because yuck."

"American League Championship. Boston versus Tampa Bay," she explained. Her Boston sweatshirt should give a good idea of what team she was rooting for.

"Yeah, that would be gross. But multiple guys? One could feed? One could rub?"

"It's very quiet this evening," Viki said, poking her head into the common room. "Is there something going on?"

Yes, Viki had completely missed anything to do with Homecoming.

"There's a dance in town, but we're here watching movies instead," Molly said, waving her in. "I'm Molly. C'mon in."

That sounded well enough for her, really. "And I am Viki," she replied cheerfully enough, while slipping in to take a seat on the couch. "What sort of... movie are we watching?"

"Really, really bad horror movies." It was a completely unapologetic grin that Molly flashed her. "Like, you can almost see the zippers in the costumes kind of bad."

Hurley gave a little wave to the girl he didn't recognize.

"Hey," he said.

She blinked over at him. "Hello to you as well, " Viki said brightly.

"I figured like, might as well introduce myself," he said. "I'm Hurley."

Hurley poked his head in.

"Hey, I'm not the only one not dancing?"

"Nope," Molly waved him in. "We're watching bad movies and eating junk food. I'm Molly. Feel free to hang if you want."

Hurley entered. "Cool. I was worried I was gonna be the only one. I'm Hurley."

"It's not a bad ratio for you," she pointed out, smiling. "All the other guys only get one girl. You get lots."
