Fifth Floor Common Room, All Day

Hurley entered the common room early Sunday morning with a ridiculous amount of stuff.

Tons of baking supplies, a lot of small boxes, and a list of the entire female student body.

He had a project to do, and he was going to do it.

First... there would be baking.

Hurley's mainly mixing batter, at this point.

Hurley was starting to feel a bit fatigued, and his hands were cramping.

Cookie fingers, heh. Ned was right.

Robin was looking for people to talk to. He found Hurley in the common room, and smelled baking smells.

"Hi Hurley!"

"Hey Robin," Hurley said. "What's hopping?"

It was a terrible joke. But Hurley still smiled.

Robin laughed. "I got a job at the comic book shop."

"Cool," Hurley said, boxing up another group of four cookies. "When you working there?"

"Saturdays. I had my first day yesterday."

"Oh, cool," Hurley said. "Though it means I won't be able to stop in while you're working."

"Yeah, that's a shame." Robin agreed. "Same here."

"Well, if I ever get a day off, I'll stop in," Hurley said. "Promise, little dude."

"That'd be great! I'll do the same. So, what're you up to?"

"Cookies," Hurley said. "So many freakin' cookies, dude."

"Any special occasion?"

"I'm making them for all the girls," Hurley said. "I might pass out and burn the dorm down. But I'm trying."

"Oh, good idea. The baking, not the passing out. Do you need any help?"

"I could, yeah," Hurley said. "You want to help me box the cookies? It's four for every box."

"Sure I can do that." Robin agreed.

"Awesome, dude," Hurley said. "I'll just..." The oven buzzer went off. "Take those cookies out of the oven!"

"I'm on the case!" Robin assured him, starting on his task.

"Thanks," Hurley said. "Anything else up, dude? Other than the new job?"

"Uhm, well...I've...I'm hoping to get a group of people together, musicians. To, I had a friend who died, a few weeks ago, and I want to I dunno, give her a kind of send off I guess."

Hurley frowned as he pulled the cookies out of the oven. "Oh man," he said. "I'm sorry to hear that. I... wish I was musical, dude."

"Thanks." Robin said softly. "It's been hard," he sniffed, but he wasn't going to cry. This was supposed to be a fun thing, the cookies. He pulled himself together. "But I'm getting through it."

Hurley nodded. "Feel free to snag a cookie or two for yourself, dude," he said. "Cookies make things better."

"Hee. They do help." he agreed. "Thanks Hurley."

"No problem, little dude," Hurley said.

Hurley was almost done with cookie baking!

He was also ready for a loooong sleep.
