So, it turned out there was definitely a reason it was called Black Friday. Wow, people were crazy and vicious when they really wanted a good deal. Angela could've sworn it had never been that bad back home.

Earlier in the day she'd had every intention of going out tonight, then she realized how tiring just going shopping could be, and ended up just flopping on a pile of cushions on front of the television in the common room. She had large quantities of Chinese food, she had TV channels to flick through...

No, there would be no moving for her right now.

"I think I better just stick with my bad reputation," he replied. "At least I'm good at it. And, you know, it's more fun."

"But how do you know it isn't just as fun the other way?" Angela suggested.

"Well, I'm just going on from what I've seen," Chuck admitted. "From what I've seen the innocent act doesn't get you a lot of action."

"It's all about balance," she told him, slouching back on her elbows.

"Really? You got any pointers?" he asked.

"Chuck Bass, asking for pointers?" Angela arched an amused eyebrow. "I never imagined I'd see that."

Chuck grinned. "I'm not saying I'd actually go for the innocent thing. I'm just saying, it could come in handy."

"I don't think you've got it in you," Angela replied, smirking over at him.

Chuck was about to challenge that but stopped himself. "Okay. It might not work here. Or in New York. Or in certain areas of Japan. But if you got me in a place where nobody had ever heard of me then I could totally work the innocent thing."

Angela looked just a little skeptical. "If you say so," she said after a beat.

"You doubt my skills?"

"Only when it comes to pulling off innocence," she clarified.

"That hurts, Angela," Chuck said, putting a hand over his heart.

"You all but said it yourself," Angela laughed. "You can't really blame me."

"It's okay if I say it about myself," he said. "You're supposed to encourage me."

"Ah, I'm sorry. I'm sure you're the perfect innocent," she said with a huff of amusement.

Chuck laughed. "Wow. That is some great encouragement."

"I thought it was pretty good," Angela replied cheerfully, finally deciding she wasn't going to eat anymore and putting her food aside.

"Were you looking for something more sincere?"

"Nah. I'll take what I can get," he replied.

Angela snickered. She could believe that. Managed to refrain from making a remark to that effect, though.

"That's the spirit," she said with a little nod.

"I still think being bad would be more fun overall," he said. "At least you get instant gratification that way."

Angela shrugged in mild acceptance. "Maybe I'll try it sometime," she allowed with a grin.

"I'm just not really a bad girl," Angela told him with a smile.

"Uh-huh. Sure," he teased. "A complete angel."
