Second Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

Last week's Darkest Night had been a rerun due to American Thanksgiving. Which Tony found somewhat annoying. Everyone knew the real Thanksgiving had been last month. For a value of "everyone" that consisted of Canadians. But still.

This week's episode was new, though, so Tony made a bag of popcorn and settled in his usual spot on the couch.

"It's...," Tony tried to figure out how to explain it. "I guess, since they ate the apple, now all humans have rules. Before the apple, there were no rules." That didn't make much sense to him either. "I don't know. But that's God."

"This god make even less sense than Liglim gods," Firekeeper said, frowning.

How had they gotten into this discussion, anyway? Oh, right. "So - Christmas. Fast forward four thousand years after Adam and Eve and God decides to give people another chance. He sends his son to Earth to be born and live as a human. That's Our Saviour Jesus Christ and Christmas celebrates his birthday."

"So he is the One of humans?" Firekeeper asked curiously.

"Yeah," Tony said. "Not all humans, but a lot of them."

"And this Christmas, is his festival?"

"One of them. There's also Easter, in the spring, but that's a whole 'nother story."
