The Roof, Sunday afternoon

Somewhat bored with this day, Amber took her sleeping bag, a pillow, a thermos of hot chocolate, and a bag of Cheetos, up to the roof. It was a relatively pleasant day and she was going to enjoy it by making shapes of the clouds and eating junk food. The only difference between this and her room was... not much.

Whatever. She totally was going to take a nap too.

...if only she had like...something to play with. Like a sling shot. That could be fun.

"Just don't do the same for new years," Angela told her with a grin. "Missing out on two decent excuses for celebration would be wrong. At least make out with Liir on midnight, or something."

Amber laughed. "Oh yah, I'm definitely planning on that. He is a great kisser and has wonderful hands." And wow, her brain was really on the dirty today. Must be the clouds...

"Maybe there will be a party going on or something. I've got this cute little dress I need to wear."

"Oh, I hope so," Angela agreed. "The break from school is all well and good, but I need some party in my life."

"If there isn't anything, we should really just throw our own."

"Yah, you betcha!" she grinned wide. "Let's do it, Angela. We've got to have a New Year's party with balloons, glitter, spiked stuff to drink."

"Oh, no party can go wrong with alcohol and glitter," Angela said with a laugh. "We've got, what? Three days? There should definitely be something."

"If nothing is mentioned by tomorrow, or the day after, we should get together and plan!"

"Definitely." Angela nodded happily. In her head, she was probably already making plans of some description. Forward thinking never hurt.

It never did and Amber was seeing glitter and cute dresses.

"This will happen, oh yes."

Their ideas on these things probably matched up rather well.

"I feel weird kind of hoping there isn't another party already in the works," she remarked after a moment.

"I feel a little evil admitting that I hope the same thing. We would host an awesome party, Angela. Everyone will want to come."

Angela held up her crossed fingers. "My last one went okay," she said. "But there's a lot less people around this time of year."

"Hm, you're right. But even if it is just us two, we can make it with the fun and cheer. Somehow I don't think that will be the case. We should make posters: 'Free kisses at midnight!'."

Angela laughed, arching an eyebrow. "Are you intending to give those away?" she joked. Personally, she liked to be a little circumspect over who she kissed.

That said. She had kissed Chuck, so... Yeah. Only a little.

Amber didn't really need to think about that. "No. But that doesn't mean others won't take advantage with each other. People like flock to the words 'Free' and 'Kisses'."

"I love your way of completely ignoring the false advertising side of this," Angela decided with a snicker.

Well, she was right, it would probably draw in a few just for that.

She laughed. "Whatever works, right?"

"Whatever works," Angela confirmed. "But if anyone complains and I don't want to oblige, it was all your idea," she told Amber with a cheeky grin.

"Deal. And then I'll just point to some random person and run."

Angela grinned, nodding approvingly. "Good plan."
