Tony had the DVD for Harry V and a box full of doughnuts from J, GOB, because he couldn't think of any good reason to not have doughnuts for dinner. He put the movie in and flopped down on the couch with the remote.

"Skywalker Detentions?" Dinah asked, curious. "And hi! We're studying. Sort of."

"Two from Master Skywalker in the same class, can you believe it?" Peyton asked. "Last term even. But there was apparently some weird detention snafu since apparently I was the only idiot to get detention, so they've been hanging over my head for ages. Made up one by working for three days building houses and then served the last one today."

"Oh, wow, how do you even get two detentions from one class?" Dinah wondered. "And he made you go build houses for, what, Habitat for Humanity? And then do it again? What does he teach, so I can avoid it?"

"He asked for my opinion on something and then got ticked 'cause it wasn't the opinion he thought I ought to have. So he gave me detention. And when I muttered about it he gave me another. I think if I hadn't shut my mouth I could have ended up with 4 or 5." Peyton rolled her eyes. "He teaches Ethics. And I built houses on another planet. Populated by living teddy bear things called Ewoks."

Dinah opened her mouth... and shut it. Really, where did she even start?

"Ewoks?" She blinked. "How does he even know about them?"

"I think he's from that universe," Peyton said. "Yeah, don't try to think about it too hard. Your brain will break."

Dinah rubbed at the space between her eyes and sighed. "Hi, I'm Dinah. Here to be broken. I'm just deciding that sanity is overrated and maybe I can call this a learning experience."

Peyton laughed. "I'm sorry. This is my first time with new kids. I haven't learned the knack of easing them into it."

"No, no, it's fine. It's not even the most ridiculous thing I've heard today. I'm looking forward to being the mind-breaker and not the breakee sometime in the far, far future." Dinah sighed. "So are you from somewhere with or without magic, time-travel, or flying cars?"

"Uh, without all of those. I'm from almost this time and this world and sooo was not prepared for this place," Peyton admitted with a grin.

"Well, we've got a couple things back where I'm from, but... not all this," Dinah admitted. "And some stuff, I'd only just heard about, and was never sure they were real. Now I'm wondering if it's *all* real, and I just haven't run into it back home."

"You mean like all those crazy sci-fi things and now you're wondering if maybe it was a little less make-believe?" Peyton said. "I've done some wondering down those lines myself."

"Exactly. What if magic is real?" And Barbara didn't just make up Dr. Strange? "What if time-travel is? That's even more brain-breaky than teddy bear habitats."

"Yes!" Peyton said. "And the whole aliens in Roswell thing? Totally might be real. I mean we have aliens here."

"I know! My roomie is dating one! Although Teddy looks pretty normal. But Chad's way too sweet to lie, and I can't figure out why Teddy would bother. And have you met Robin? The frog?" Dinah very obviously boggled about that. "How do you even explain any of that to people?"

"I've seen the frog," Peyton admitted. "And there was a talking unicorn here before. I mean, could I make that up? And yeah, I don't tell anybody back home even half of this stuff. They'd think I was losing it!"

"I'm afraid they'd yank me home," Dinah admitted. "Although I think Alfred already knew alllll about it before I got sent here. He knows everything."

"Well, that's something," Peyton said. "I figure I could tell my friend, Lucas, about it, but how do I tell him there was another him here?"

Peyton sighed. "Back home my two best friends are Lucas Scott and Brooke Davis. Imagine my surprise to get here and find that they're here. Except they're not from the same time I am. Freaky, right?"

"Ummm..." Okay, this sounded similar to what Leto had talked about earlier in the day. "Time travel? Or something?"

"Or something," Peyton said. "I honestly have no idea how to explain any of it. Dean says it's best just not to think about it too hard."

"Dean? Is this Dean Winchester? He's in my Movie Appreciation class," Dinah said, remembering what else Chuck had said about him. "He's... really really cute. Like a lot of the guys here."

Peyton nodded. "And a hell of a lot nicer than he is good looking even." She might have had just the tiniest bit of a satisfied smile.

"Oh! Are you and he...?" Better to get info from the girlfriend than from a guy, right? Which was too bad, if he was taken. Not that he was in her league though, sheesh.
