4th floor bathrooms, early evening Thursday
Liir had agreed to wash Amber's clothes for her, or what she had left of her clothes (stupid machines), so that is what they were going to do. It was just too cute how he carried her up the stairs and into the bathroom. Amber was loathe to be put down, but she was carrying her small bag of clothes, while he carried her, so she assumed the weight could be stressing.
Laughing, he gently placed her on her feet and she was almost tempted to lock the door so she could have fun in the tub with him. But... not yet.
"So. I hope you won't mind looking at my panties," she said, lacking the modesty to not say what she was thinking.
[OOC: For Liir, who was modded with permission. But it's a bathroom, so can be open to others!]

Laundry was laundry, after all. Andrew had had the same sort of misgivings and Liir had been just as unaffected by the awkwardness.
Then he ducked his head with a grin.
"Besides, I believe I've seen them before."
no subject
"I just want them clean and dried so I can put them back on."

"Now, we'll be separating them," he told her as he started pulling the bag over, "light and dark. You can do white and light and dark, but I've never found that necessary, really."
He only HAD white and dark, for the most part.

"I usually use the tubs, but since you don't have much, a sink would probably work. Whatever you'd prefer."

"Warm. Hot's really unnecessary and does more damage than good. For anything dark, on the colder side of warm, and for the light, just warm."
He started separating the clothes, entirely unmindful of what he was touching.
"Most of the work gets done by the soap and the brush."

But then she had jeans and a couple t-shirts.
She made a small, incoherent noise. There was just something about Liir touching her panties when they weren't on her.

"Amber?"

"Would you like to get this lathered up?"
no subject
She took the soap and brush and started lathering it up.

Then he pulled up one of the white shirts.
"The scrub brush is for any spots that would require it. Places where you perspire, stains, any of that."
He put the shirt over the edge of the tub.
"Make sure to get it a little wet first then scrub the right spots. It's easier to do it against the edge."

"Huh. You wash your clothes like this all the time?"
no subject
"It's... comforting, sometimes," he admitted.
He leaned over and watched her for a moment.
"It doesn't have to be hard. You've got it about right. Try a few different angles. If you look at the way cloth is, it's easy to get at all the dirt by scrubbing in a few different directions."
He tipped his chin down to kiss her cheek before leaning back.

Biting her lip, she tried a few different angles, but after his kiss she grinned, casting him a sideways glance. "Liir, you're laundry skills amaze me," she teased and flicked bubbles at him.

"They're well-earned. I've been doing it since I was six or so."

He shrugged.
"It was nicer than most of my chores except in the winter when the water was terribly cold."

After a moment, she went back to scrubbing.
"This is back breaking work," she said, bending over her shirt. She might have been exaggerating just a tad.
no subject
"It's not, really. And once you learn a rhythm, you'll hardly feel it."
