Peyton stretched out on the couch with more take-out Chinese than she'd ever manage to eat on her own. She couldn't help wondering if there'd be any fall-out - good or bad - from the crazy phone calls she'd placed and misplaced yesterday.

There was enough mindless television on to keep her distracted for a few hours.

She laughed ruefully. "Well, I'd be glad to get to know you better. And I'm thinking everyone's going to get a bit of a pass considering so many people were affected. Everyone can sort of write it off to Fandom weirdness."

"I've been hearing that phrase a lot," Priestly agreed. "Makes a great excuse for general teenage stupidity."

"It does, doesn't it," Peyton said thoughtfully. "I wonder how we could use that to our benefit."

"Clearly by acting crazy."

"No, no, there has to be a way to do stuff and get away with it by claiming Fandom weirdness," she said with a grin.

"I'm thinking all you'd really have to do is do it and then when people say 'what the hell?' you say 'Fandom weirdness!'"

Peyton nodded. "There has to be a good prank in there somewhere."

"Probably. Who do you want to prank?"

"I don't know... Though some way to get Angela and Hannibal together might be fun..."

"Matchmaking." Priestly nodded. "I could be down with that."

She grinned at him. "Cool."

"Angela and Hannibal, huh? I don't know if I've met him."

"He's a good guy," Peyton said. "But he and Angela are so meant for each other and they just keep dancing around it. Which makes them sooo much fun to tease."

"Man. Why don't they just ask each other out?"

Yeah, 'cause he was so good with that sort of thing himself.

"They seem to have gone the just sleeping with each other on occasion and not admitting anything route," Peyton said, rolling her eyes.

Priestly snorted. "Yeah. Because those sorts of relationships always work out."

"Yeah," Peyton said quietly.

Not that she was thinking about her own non-exclusive thing at all. Oh no.

Right time to change the subject. "So how are your classes going?"

"So far, so good," Peyton said. "Three are really cool and one, well... I suppsoe Networking will be useful sometime later."

"Networking? Like, shmoozing at people?"

"Yeah, except with all this weird technical junk about what kind of leader you are and all this philosophy and psycholgy and... yeah." She shrugged. "I don't know how well I'll do with that."

"That sounds way too complicated. Good thing I have no ambition."

She laughed. "I wanttot have my own record label someday, so I suppose it's good information to have."

"Yeah, networking might be good for you."

"Unless the phones work they way they did yesterday," Peyton said with a smile.
