3rd Floor Common Room: Monday Night [1-19-09]

Peyton stretched out on the couch with more take-out Chinese than she'd ever manage to eat on her own. She couldn't help wondering if there'd be any fall-out - good or bad - from the crazy phone calls she'd placed and misplaced yesterday.

There was enough mindless television on to keep her distracted for a few hours.

"Hey!" Tony flopped down in a chair near her. "You going to eat all that?"

"God, no!" Peyton said with a laugh. "Please help yourself."

"Awesome." Tony helped himself to some Kung Pao chicken. "How's it going?"

The smell of Chinese food made Firekeeper and Blind Seer pause outside the common room on their way back to their room. Apparently, the trend of being unusually social was bound to continue this week, because instead of continuing down the hall, the pair turned and wandered in to the common room. Of course, the fact that there was food available didn't hurt.

"Hello," Firekeeper greeted Peyton before flopping down on the couch. "You is sharing?" she asked, gesturing at the food and trying not to sound too hopeful.

"Of course," Peyton assured her. "Please, help yourself."

"Thank you," Firekeeper dipped her head in acknowledgment and grabbed a plateful of food.

Tony had a mouthful of Chinese food but he waved chopsticks at Firekeeper.

"Tony!" Firekeeper grinned and waved a fork back. Seeing as forks were still pretty new to her, relatively speaking, she wasn't really up to using chopsticks just yet.

Yei froze on seeing the Really Big not-a-cat, before glancing back to make sure Mommy was still around (she was) and remembering that the last not-a-cat had actually been rather nice.

She wandered over, under Hinata's watchful eye, to sniff at Blind Seer. Hiiiii.

Firekeeper gave Blind Seer a warning poke. If the wolf had been human, he probably would have rolled his eyes at her. He knew better than to cause trouble when it came to human pets, thank you. Instead he watched the small cat patiently, sliding a paw in her direction so she could investigate.

Priestly was wandering around, looking for people, sporting a blue mohawk, his black "surf naked" t-shirt, and a pair of ripped jeans. He followed his nose to the 3rd floor and Chinese food. And --

"Uh, hey, Peyton."

He had no idea if she'd gotten his return voicemail yesterday or not. He wasn't sure which calls were randomly directed and which, if any, were just people being weird.

"What is a 'come-on'?" Firekeeper demanded of Priestly as soon as she caught sight of him.

"Huh?" Priestly said intelligently.

"Hey," Peyton said blushing. "So... um... I called you yesterday, but I have no idea if you got it or got the right one, so... if you got something weird I'm totally sorry for it."

"Yeah, I think the phone lines were screwed up. I got all kinds of weird calls before I realized it. Unless, you know, Dean really was offering to have a threesome with me." He grimaced sheepishly. "You, uh, didn't really want me to come around yesterday to, uh, you know. . . ?" His hand gestures were hopefully clear on what he wasn't saying out loud.

Well, things hadn't gone too badly with Merlin or Arthur. Sooo...

"Hey, Priestly." Dinah gave him a little wave as she grabbed a vegetable roll. "Glad you got your clothes back."

"Dinah!" Priestly was pretty sure he hadn't accidentally called her embarrassingly yesterday. "You, too."

"Good evening," she ventured, slipping into the common room with a small white kitten in her arms. "I h-hope you don't mind more company?"

"Hell, no," Peyton said. "Come on in and have some chinese food!"

"Thank you," she said, smiling and setting Yei on the ground while she went to investigate the options. "I j-just didn't feel like staying in my room t-tonight."

Yei, for her part, padded over to check out the new person. Hihihihi!

Dinah hadn't had dinner yet, and the smell of the Chinese food was too tempting to keep her in her room. "Hi guys." She wandered over and looked hungrily at the boxes. "Is this for anybody?"

Peyton gestured with a chopstick. "Help yourself. The more the merrier."

"Dinah!" Firekeeper looked up and waved, and Blind Seer offered a bark of greeting.
