The Range - Girls With Guns [Tuesday afternoon]

Triela was grinning as she set up her gun cases today. Because, really, it was great to have the club back. She'd missed it.

She ran over the list of people who'd signed up in her head. It was a good group, and when she started moving forward with some of her more interesting plans for the club this semester, they'd hopefully have fun.

"Don't forget to introduce yourself when you come in," Triela reminded people as they arrived. "And don't forget to tell me about your holiday."

She was allowed to be nosy. It was club day!

Triela shrugged, "I'm not entirely sure we'll be doing the club next year. I mean, I want to, but... I suspect something might come up." Back home.

Turtle blinked at that a little. "Oh," she said, quietly. "I...see..."

"It's no big deal. And, hey, I might end up pleasantly surprised."

"That's true, too," Turtle said with a nod. "But, I mean, even if you do end up going, no reason the club can't keep on. I could always pick up where you left off, too, even if it'll be my senior year and I'll probably be very busy, but being busy means being productive."

"You'd want to do this on top of everything else you've got on your plate," Triela shook her head. "You're one crazy woman, Turtle."

"I like gun club," she shrugged a shoulder. "I think it's important. It'd be weird not to have it..."

"Tell me about it," Triela laughed. "Where would people come to shoot without it?"

"Well," Turtle reasoned, lightly grinning, "they could still come on their own, but that's just boring."

"I know. And besides, I've taught a lot of people who wouldn't have gotten into them without the club."

Turtle nodded. "Definitely useful club. But, um, other than the possibility of being called back when it's over, how's your semester shaping up so far?"

"Pretty good!" Triela grinned broadly. "My job continues to be very weird, but my classes are pretty interesting."

"The Freelance Police HQ," Triela shook her head. "Talk about weird. Even for Fandom."

"...I can't honestly say I know much about them," Turtle admitted, a little surprised at herself. She must have been too busy catching up with the newbies.

"I'm not even sure they're a legitimate business. Mostly my job consists of feeding the fish, watching the phone not ring, and having my bosses try to arrest me on a regular basis." She shook her head, "But I'm not even sure they have the legal authority to do that."

"...What do they try to arrest you for?"

Yeah, Turtle was thinking Triela was probably right about the crazy in this case.

"The most common charge is breaking and entering. I think sometimes they forget they hired me."

Turtle's eyes went wide and round.

"Woooooooow."

Really, there were no words.

"Yeah."

Triela shook her head and let out a wry smile. "At least they let me carry a gun?" That was no small perk in her book. It always made her feel more comfortable.
