The gym, Tuesday evening

Jaina completely recognized that she shouldn't be in as okay a mood as she was. She was still wondering about it herself. In fact, she was having a hard time coming up with a reason to need to beat the hell out of something.

But she was down here because being named Sword of the Jedi probably meant she should get her ass back in here, doing more than spending all her time on the comm doing administrative work and planning campaigns. So she was working at the punching bag, more methodically than anything, getting back into the groove of hitting things after being away from it for longer than she wanted to admit.

What, she'd been busy.

[Been a while since I've played all three students at once, let's try it. Open!]

Zayne was, as was frequently the case, trying to focus on his training. While that generally meant training his mind, he also needed to train his body because he was a phenomenal klutz and he really needed to work on that.

When he walked into the gym, he wasn't wearing his normal robes. These robes were less loose and therefore less likely to get caught in some kind of equipment and cause embarrassment.

"Hi, Jaina. How are you tonight?"

"Better now that I'm past my first case of Fandom weirdness," Zayne said. "I feel like I really belong here now."

"Why?" Zayne asked, looking around to see what equipment they had here. "What happens then?"

"Remind me to try to never get bitten by a gremlin," Zayne said, finally deciding to go to a treadmill.

"I can't make any promises. I may be too busy thinking I'm a starfighter flying around the dorms to make any calls," Zayne explained.

"Get enough people and you can have a whole squadron!" Zayne joked. "I just hope nobody tries to get into a dogfight."

"Not really," Zayne said. "Really basic training. I can drive a speeder bike pretty well, though. But that just comes from living on Taris."

"I guess so," Zayne said. "A lot of Jedi are great pilots, of course, but we don't really have anything we can call a 'Jedi starfighter'. It mainly ends up being whatever we can borrow from the Republic."

"I have no clue what an X-wing is, so I'm going to say no," Zayne said. "I could be wrong, though. I'm not too familiar with Republic fighters, really."

"I probably won't anytime soon, either," Zayne said. "I'm ancient, after all."

"Well, he's the one who pointed out that I'm at least eight hundred years older than him," Zayne said. "He was probably just trying to pass the teasing along."

"So you were serious when you said you try to make him mad?" Zayne asked.

"Is he like that with everyone, or is that just part of your relationship?" Zayne asked, genuinely curious.
