Despite being more bundled up than should be strictly necessary when indoors, Teddy was very excited about the first meeting of the new year.

"Hey, guys! I know it's really cold, so we don't have to stick around too long today. Just say hi to any new members we might have and... you know, take a calender."

"Oh yeah," he said and laughed. "Especially if it was one the size of the one in this photo. He'd turn red. And maybe twitch."

"He does a great twitch," Ben said with a grin. "'If that's really what you wanted, Ben,'" he said, imitating his father's Tatooine accent.

Except he wouldn't.

"Tell him I put you up to it," Gavin said. "We can get me in on the blame too."

Ben considered it. "I don't know," he said finally. "Do you have one?"

"No." He fell quiet. "Think I should get one?"

"If I get one, you should get one," Ben decided. "That way we can tell you apart from all the other Gavins."

"How many other Gavins do you know?" Gavin asked curiously. It was still weird not to be the only Gavin.

"Hey!" Gavin tried to sound very offended in the face of the truth. "Takes one to know one."

"Maybe." Gavin hated that he had to think on that. "I still get the Earth phrases mixed up. They talk too much in too many riddles."

"And there's no way they'd try to use our sayings," Gavin said. "They'd find change too difficult."
