Tuesday Afternoon: The Roof

Jamie had the required gear all set up on the roof but was double checking everything to make sure it would safe for him and his little sib... or anyone else who decided to show up.

After all rappelling down the dorms wasn't an everyday occurrence.

[For the little Sib and anyone else who wants to rappel down the dorm walls on a cold day.

"Hey, did you know they have a place on the roof of MCA?" Jamie asked as he got ready to drop. "And I know a few people who parked their ships at the Junkyard."

"Seriously? The apartments have a chopper pad?" Reno had not known this. Daaamn. And now he was going to have to look into it. "I ain't parkin' nothin' down at the junkyard. Last thing I need is to have to go pickin' banana peels and empty Squishee containers offa my baby, you know."

Well. Technically, it wasn't his. But someday he would have his own. And he'd be more careful to not blow it up, too.

"Well I don't know about chopper pads," Jamie said. "But I know a few rocketships are there. Should be the same right?"

"Yeah, I guess it would be," Reno agreed, tilting his head as he thought it over. "I wonder what kinda scrap they got out in the junkyard on an island like this one. If I get enough time on my hands, I could probably bullshit my way around somethin' that'll get me offa the ground."

A pause while he surveyed the gear, checking to make sure nothing was going to fall apart on him halfway down.

"Even if it's somethin' stupid, like a giant slingshot."

And he was even still sober, folks!
