Tuesday Afternoon: The Roof

Jamie had the required gear all set up on the roof but was double checking everything to make sure it would safe for him and his little sib... or anyone else who decided to show up.

After all rappelling down the dorms wasn't an everyday occurrence.

[For the little Sib and anyone else who wants to rappel down the dorm walls on a cold day.

After play practice, Dinah raced to the roof, hoping Jamie hadn't had to wait too long.

"Yay! You're still here!"

"Oh, I'm a little bit everywhere," Jamie joked. "You ever done this kind of thing before?"

"Once? Although that was more swinging across than rapelling down on purpose," Dinah admitted. "Just a belt, that time." She bounced on her toes, nearly squeeing. "This would so be worth getting Detention for, if they want to give it to us."

Jamie shrugged. "I've done it a few times without getting detention. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Go ahead and get geared up."

If Robin had known there was going to be repelling going on, he'd have gotten here sooner. As it was, he was pleasantly surprised when he came up on the roof just to enjoy the view.

"Hey what's going on?"

"We're going to jump off the roof," Jamie said getting his equipment ready. "See if gravity still works."

"Oooohhh! Can I try?"

"Sure," Jamie said. "I don't think I have anything your size. Do you have any gear?"

Really, Reno had just gone up to the roof for a smoke. But the rappelling gear didn't fail to catch his attention, and it was just a few puffs in before he made his way over to the edge to investigate.

"Gotta say, Madrox," he mused, "you got one heck of a setup goin' on, here."

"Up for a little jump off the roof?" Jamie said tying on his line. "Got plenty of equipment."

"Always up for a little jump offa the roof," Reno replied with a grin. "We gonna be climbin' back up again, too?"

He didn't really need the equipment, but heck, he'd take it. He took another drag from his cigarette before stubbing it out on the floor and pocketing it for later. Then he leaned over to get a better look at the setup.

"I prefer the stairs myself," Jamie replied. "But I guess we can make another post later do that. Any particular floor you want to visit?"

Dinah waved to the guy she didn't know, lit up with glee. "Jumping!"

Well, there was a happy blond if ever Reno had seen one.

It was kind of like an epidemic, where Fandom was concerned. Wasn't it?

"Jumpin's cool. If it wasn't for all the harnesses an' junk, here's where I'd be tellin' you it ain't worth it, you got too much to live for, right?" He smirked and leaned over to peer off the edge. "Eh. Drop from here ain't all that bad anyhow."
