2nd Floor Common Room, Thursday evening

Prince Edward bounded into the common room, a bright, pearly white smile on his face, and he instantly declared, "Greetings! Peas-"

Ahhh, he was alone!

Save for the Magic Mirror!

"Ah-hah! Do not fail me now with the skin images, Magic Mirror! I shant wish to become... to become... JUST DON'T DO IT!"

Bouncing in further, he jumped effortlessly over the sofa and knelt before the Magic Mirror. "Magic Mirror! Tell me where she is? My Giselle! My one true love!"

He blinked. Stared.

"Oooh! You lint licker! Do you know where my one true love is? My one coquette? The answer to my love's duet? MAGIC MIRROR thank you!"

...

"Pickle you kumquat! I shall find this McStinkface! Ah-hah! And there too will my Giselle be! Thank you hoboken!" Prince Edward hugged the Magic Mirror, even as it changed it's faces and someone started frying chicken.

[It's open, of course. My brain is crazy.]

After hearing the radio last night, Turtle wasn't too sure she wanted to try doing some common room visiting tonight, but she reasoned to herself that she missed the bad night. Tonight should be fine.

She got two seconds into the second floor common room before regretting that thought.

"Um."

Prince Edward kissed the Magic Mirror then hopped up, turning to face that 'Um'.

"Ahhh! Turtle!" Bright smile. "I have not seen you since the beginning of that day! How do you fair?"

"Fine," Turtle said, slowly, eying Edward a little. "How are you?"

There was the briefest pause before she added, "Should I leave you two alone?"

"Ah, I am very well, thank you!"

Blink.

"But I am alone, besides you! Do you see someone I do not? A rodent perhaps?"

"No," Turtle admitted. "You just seemed awfully cozy with the TV there."

"TV?" he asked, curious and confused.

"Gee, Edward," Turtle commented wryly, "you should really get to know a machine before you start hugging on it like that. The TV. That thing in your arms. The big black box you just kissed."

She wasn't about to let him think that no one hadn't noticed him kissing the TV.

"Ah-hah! Silly Turtle! That," he pointed to the big black box, "is a Magic Mirror!"

Ah, peasants. He could forgive them their ignorance!

Turtle was just going to stare for a moment.

"Of course it is," she said, slowly. "Silly me, what was I thinking? Not like I'm from this century or anything and practically grew up with one of these mysterious black boxes as a babysitter. Magic Mirror, right. I get so confused between those and TVs."

"It is quite all right," he beamed. "You didn't know any better! Shall you like to speak to it?"

"No, that's okay," Turtle said. "I can see you have much more to say."

And do.

She shook her head, trying not to think of it.

"You can really hurt your eyes sitting that close to it, you know," she added, moving into the room to have a seat. Odd thing about this situation was that she didn't want to be a part of it, and yet the scene drew her in all the same. Like trainwrecks and car accidents.

He readily sat down on the sofa. "I am finished. I must find McStinkface! Do you know McStinkface?" He tried to recall the other words spoken to him from the Magic Mirror. "Possibly lint licker?"

"McStinkface?" Turtle asked, and then snorted. "I know at least about ten of them!"

With some free time on her hands, Jaina was mostly just looking for something to do, and- there was the guy who called her a peasant, talking to the TV.

"You're still here, huh? I'd have thought you'd be on your honeymoon by now," she said, against all better judgment.

"Honeymoon?" he asked, turning around from the Magic Mirror.

Then he beamed. "Oooh, Jaina! Greetings!"

At least he looked happy to see her. "Greetings to you, too. Make a new friend?" she asked, nodding with her chin towards the TV.

"The Magic Mirror," he replied with an emphatic nod. "I have yet to find my bride," woe, "and am seeking help."

He smiled at her. "Tell me, have you yet married your true love?"

"No. And you're going to make me start twitching if you keep bringing that up," she warned. "You think the... Magic Mirror'll know where Giselle is?"

"Do not twitch, Jaina. But rest assured if you did twitch, I would help you hold still!" Such a lovely woman. "Of course! It has done nothing but utter senseless words to me, but I shall prevail and continue on!"

She pursed her lips, wondering if she should help him out there. ...Yeah, she probably should. "You know it's not really used for that purpose, right?"

He considered that, and color rose high on his cheeks.

"There was that odd... moment last night. All that... skin."

Jaina hadn't heard radio yet. She was obviously going to have to listen. "What about skin?"

He waved his hand wildly at the Magic Mirror. "It was everywhere! Pink and... bouncy!"

"I'm not tracking you," she said, shaking her head. "Skin, pink and bounc- Oh."

"Everywhere! There was so much bendy I was confused!"
