It was way too effing early to be awake. And yet, here Chuck was, awake. Life was unfair sometimes.

Maybe if he got stoned enough he'd be able to fall asleep again. And if he didn't, well, he'd still be high anyway. That was always nice.

He looked over the edge of the roof and lamented the fact that he didn't bring any Cheetos or Lucky Charms up here with him or something. Things were going to take a turn for the suck once the munchies came on.

"That'd be one way of putting it. I can still get high. Just takes me a little more time to do it than it used to," he said, sitting down on the ledge also.

If the red eyes and slow way he was talking were any indication, he had gone past high already and was on his way to being thoroughly stoned.

Then again, he had been up here for about a half hour before Temari showed up.

"Don't fall," Temari said, slumping a bit and taking another drag.

"I'll be careful," Chuck said. "Though your concern is noted."

"It's only a few stories," Temari replied. "Che, weak people here."

"We can't all have your strong constitution," Chuck joked.

"You wouldn't survive a day in my village," Temari said, smiling perhaps a bit more than was necessary.

Chuck probably shouldn't be grinning right now, but he was. "Oh, come on. Give me a little more credit than that."

"Fine, fine," Temari replied, waving her hand lazily. "Then you'd just have to deal with your clothing being mocked."

She poked him in the arm once.

"Not nearly enough fishnet for a proper ninja." But the colors... worked.

"Fishnet is where I draw the line, sorry," Chuck said, shaking his head.

"But it's nice looking," She lamented.

"Hey, if you want to wear more fishnet then by all means, I will support this," he said. Yeah, like he'd ever want a girl not to wear that. "I'm just saying I don't think I'll be able to pull the look off."

"Men wear them all the time back home," Temari informed him. "Though they're either too ugly or look like a woman. That's why I like here. The pretty men still look like men."

Chuck's mind was briefly assaulted by the image of men in fishnets but he quickly replaced it with images of women in fishnets and he avoided too much mental damage.

"As a pretty man here, I thank you for the compliment," he said, looking smug.

"It's the cheekbones," She told him, reaching over to pat him on the cheek.

Chuck smirked, amused by the fact that Temari was so touchy-feely when she was high. Well, Jamie would have to thank him later, that's for sure.

"Well, I try," he told her. "You enjoying yourself?"

"I'm so happy to hear that," he told her. She was a lot less scary when she was stoned. That was a plus.

"Do you do this often?" Because, now she was all into the mellow. "It would help meditation. Why doesn't Cable have this available at the shop? Better than those stupid candles."

"Every couple of days. Helps me sleep," he said. Chuck giggled laughed lightly at the last part. "This is totally better than any candles. Weed should be available in every store. Every store ever."
