Fourth Floor Common Room; Monday Evening [ 02/02 ].

Cal didn't care if he was so sick he felt like death warmed over; he was pretty sure there was new Rumor Gal tonight. The set-up was perfect. Clearly, he had to get out of his room, which needed some time to let the bad air out, so he needed to relocate for a little bit. And he was too sick to move around looking for the 'lost' remote.

Funny how things like that always happened on Monday, wasn't it?

"Some show," Cal said, trying to hold down an unbecoming cough, "called Rumor Gal. It's on almost every Monday."

"Is it a reality program or a teen drama?" Adora asked slowly, making sure she got the terms right as she found a seat.

"Teen drama," Cal said with a snort, that lead into a string of slightly hacking coughs. At least he remembered to cover his mouth. "Definitely not reality."

Adora winced at the coughing, "Can I get you something for that? It sounds painful."

Cal's first thought was to just say no and brush it off.

But she was offering.

"Can you make tea?" he asked, somewhat piteously.

He was hopeless when he was sick.

He sounded so pathetic with that cough.

"Yes, of course," Adora assured him, getting up. "How about I put some honey in it for your throat?"

It was like she read his mind!

"Lots of honey," he agreed.

He tried to cough, for good measure, but the whole thing turned out being a lot more realistic than he bargained for. Once he started, it was hard to stop, finishing out with a genuinely miserable groan.

She went into the kitchen to prepare the tea, feeling genuinely sad that this boy had to suffer so.

"Do you want a cookie or a sandwich to go with it?" she called while she waited for the water.

That was met with a groan, bubbling up from the cramping that even mentioning food right now caused to his stomach.

"Nooooo food," he said. "I'll blow chunks everywhere."

Frowning and glad she was there to get him tea, Adora carried a tray out of the kitchen and set it in front of the boy.

"There you are, no food, no blowing anything all anywhere!"

"Thanks," Cal said, with a faint grin as he sniffled and sat up enough so that he could drink the tea. "Um, I'm Cal, by the way. We might have met, and, if so, I blame the illness running rampant through my immune system right now for not remembering you."

"I don't believe we have," she replied. "My name is Adora and I promise I won't hold your cough against you."

"That's very kind of you, Adora," Cal said, cradling his tea. "I assure you, I don't usually cough like this."

And, as if on cue, his attempts to take a sip was thwarted by more coughing.

She tilted her head, wondering how he was managing to watch his program. "Should you be in the clinic?"

"No," Cal said, quickly and firmly. And punctuated with an attempt to hold in a cough.

"Have you seen someone about that cough?" Adora wondered. "Perhaps there is some elixir that would assist you."

"...I actually do have a friend who can do healing," Cal realized after a moment. "I'm not sure if it extends to illnesses, but it's not like I've been well enough to track her down, either."

"I have a friend like that as well," Adora informed him. "Her gift is quite thorough should you decide you would appreciate the assistance."

"A friend here? Who?"

Well that was a complicated question. "The Heroing substitute, She-Ra? She's rather talented with healing."

What the hell kind of name was She-Ra?

"Oh," Cal's shoulders sagged a little around the tea, "not the same friend, then. I don't think I've met her."
