The Range - Girls With Guns [Tuesday afternoon]

Despite having all of her gun cases opened, Triela was rather distracted as people filed in. She was spending an awful lot of time looking over a piece of notebook paper in front of her and making thinking noises.

As people arrived she took a sort of informal poll. "So if the club were to take a field trip off-island to shoot things, would people be interested in participating?" It was all vague and unplanned, but she figured gauging interest was a good first step toward making plans.

"I don't know? What kind of things? Not live things?" Dinah looked worried. "I just want to shoot some targets today. A lot."

"No, nothing living," Triela laughed. "It's just that the targets here are all stationary and the range is... boring. It's good practice, but only for aim. Shooting is about a lot more than that."

"But!" Triela smirked. "If you just want to shoot, I should ask if you need to borrow a gun. I have quite a few." As evidenced by the dozen or so cases nearby.

"If we need money," Turtle offered while cleaning her pistol a little, "I can donate some on behalf of Turtle & Canary. Field trip might be interesting..."

"I'll keep that in mind." Then Triela frowned. "You look a bit stressed."

"I was thinking something different from a range. Out here it's just stand and shoot, but maybe I can find somewhere where we can run around and shoot."

After the whole shouted crush confession thing with Sokka, Turtle actually was feeling the need to shoot something. Her usual reserve seemed to have gone straight out the window.

After the talk with Leto, and then the one with Edward, and a bad rehearsal? Yup, Dinah is totally up for shooting things.

She started out with the P7, and carefully sighted down the barrel, trying to keep the correct stance as she squeezed off her first shot.

Tahiri was going to chalk it up to actually getting a workout in no, really, sometime after all the talking in the salle this morning, but her focus was a lot better tonight than it had been last week, and her aim with it.

Algren was indeed there! He'd pulled himself out of a drinking binge in order to do his duty as a member of the faculty by making sure that the kids didn't shoot one another.

He had some measure of faith that they wouldn't be too stupid with their guns, but he was still watching them like a hawk.
