Second floor common room, Wednesday night

Priestly had finally called his mom back after cheerleading practice.

Yeah, that conversation hadn't gone well. Well, okay, it had, but only because Priestly lied out his ass. According to his mom, now, the school'd made him get a haircut, he was back to playing football, and her little plan to get her good little boy back on the straight and narrow was working.

So now he was sprawled on the couch, taking up as much room as humanly possible, Ramone flopped out on his head between the twin lines of his hairstyle of the day, flipping through channels at high speed while pondering what sort of bizarre and assuredly not "straight and narrow" dish to make himself for dinner.

"What do you think, Ramone? Maybe a fondue? People love fondue."

Priestly had no idea how to make a fondue.

"In my experience," Eric said, wandering in on a whim, "you only find fondue at parties with old, boring people, or university students who are trying to be hip and retro. Although maybe you can make them make a comeback?"

Eric shrugged. "Nothing, I guess," he said, with a bit of a smile. "I'm too used to the Upper East Side, I guess. Parties there need to be... of a certain caliber. You wouldn't find anyone our age planning a fondue, not if they wanted to be taken seriously socially."

It's possible that Eric's opinion of this is a little skewed. On the other hand, it is the Upper East Side.

"Hey, Eric," Dinah said as she came in, and grabbed a prime viewing seat. "How are you and why didn't you make Radio in an embarrassing fashion yesterday?"

"I guess because I didn't say or do anything too embarrassing?" he said. "After class, I pretty much just hid. Why? Did you make radio in an embarrassing fashion? I didn't listen."

"Fondue?" asked Jen, wandering in when she overheard. "Don't ask me to make it. I'm lethal in the kitchen. Plus I've never had it."

"I'd love to," Jen said, perking up. "I'm starting to feel like I haven't branched out nearly as much as I should have, food-wise."

"Jen, hi," Dinah said as she came in, smiling. "You survive yesterday with sanity intact?"

"Dinah, hey! How's it going?" asked Jen, heading over to her. "I got through yesterday just fine, actually. Making a general policy out of being honest comes in handy sometimes."

Granted, she wasn't always honest, but for reasons that were largely irrelevant to her life in Fandom now.

Though had it been yesterday, she'd have said as much.

Tonight was Darkest Night and so of course Firekeeper and Blind Seer showed up at the second floor common room.

Firekeeper frowned slightly when she saw Priestly flipping through the channels. That was just wrong. There was only one channel anyone should be watching tonight!

"You should be turning it to Darkest Night," she informed him, completely forgoing any sort of greeting.

"Right, the vampire detective show you're addicted to. But what if I wanted to watch something else?"

Firekeeper's frown deepened, because why would anyone want to watch anything else? "If you was wolf, I would just fight you to prove my way was better," she said. "But, you is not wolf, so... you can choose what we is watching after?" she suggested. "Please?"

Tahiri hadn't been planning on tuning in to Darkest Night, not sharing Firekeeper's addiction, but she did want to find her friend and apologize for not showing up last week.

"Firekeeper, hi," she said as she wandered in.

Francine didn't actually float downstairs when Darkest Night time rolled around, but her usual clompity was definitely lighthearted tonight. "Hiiiiii!"

"Fran!" Priestly liked to give people nicknames. "How's it going?"

"Hi Francine!" Dinah chirped back. Between music, random fluffballs, and today not being yesterday, she was in a pretty good mood. Which... it seemed like Francine was too.

Dinah headed down a floor to meet up with Tony, and maybe make some popcorn. Or whatever. "Hey, Priestly!" Someone she hadn't embarrassed herself with yesterday definitely got a cheerful greeting.

"Dinah!" A girl who hadn't confessed her undying love -- or at least a crush -- yesterday. "How you doing?"

Tony returned from J, GoB with a strawberry cheesecake (he'd felt like having something sweet tonight) and found the common room already full of people. He gave a general wave to everyone.

"Tony!" Dinah's cheer was directly proportional to how he hadn't had to save her at rehearsal, but would have. "My favorite stage manager slash maybe-date!"

"Tony!" Firekeeper waved. "Am trying to tell Priestly we should be watching Darkest Night," she informed him.
