Puppy flopped on his feet. Check.

Iron Chef on the television. Check. And it was Bonito battle to boot. He was terribly curious about sushi.

Extra brownies on the counter for anyone who'd like some. Check. And he now considered himself over his temporary phobia of chocolaty goodness.

All in all, it wasn't a bad Thursday afternoon. Even with the stupid hat on his head.

Hurley came into the common, fully aware of the ridiculous thing on his head.

"Oh... you have one too," he greeted.

"At least they're relatively warm, though that's no help while we're inside. A little uncomfortable, in fact," he said with a nod as he invited Hurley over with a wave of a hand.

"At least they're a sensible color."

"Sensible?" Hurley said. "There's something I... wouldn't call this hat."

"You've not seen some of the things ladies will put on their heads in the Emerald City for the sake of fashion. Imagine it in a bright pink."

Hurley pulled a face. "Man, I am so glad I didn't get stuck with a big pink hat," he said.

"Or anything with birds nesting or moving enchanted squirrels or anything."

He shuddered theatrically.

"I'm watching people cook fish. Care to join me?"

"What sort of fish?" Hurley asked, jokingly.

Robin was unconcerned about his new hat. He was his usual cheerful self when he came into the common room.

"Hi everybody! Ooh! Brownies!"

"You're welcome to some, as you like."

"Thanks! I see you got a hat too."

"Unfortunately. Though it could be worse. At least they're warm."

Robin nodded. "I think the color's a little dull though."

"I found it a little... bright, honestly."

He liked black.

"Really? I thought blue would have looked better."

Momoko wandered into the common room, ever so happy to see that she was not the only one in a hat today. "Does everyone have the same hat today?" She was a wee bit grumpy. "Because if I have to wear my hair down all day for a hat, it could at least be a pink one."

"I believe so," he said with a faint wince.

"But there are brownies."

"AH! Brownies?" Yay! Brownies made being forced to wear a grey hat all day worth it, and the redhead suddenly bouncing happily across the room proved that theory. "Hi Liir! How've you been? Did you make the brownies? And I can have one?"

"I made them, yes, and you're welcome to them, yes. They're very rich."

Yay! Brownies!

"Yay! Thank you! Baked goods are my weakness." Momoko carefully chose one and chewed slowly as she took a seat. "Mmmm. These are good! You're right, though, they are rich!" She gave gave him a thumbs up as she took another bite. "How come don't like pink hats?"

"I've not got much of a love for pink, myself," he admitted.

"At least, on me. On girls, it looks very nice."

"Yeah I could see that." Robin said. "Me I'd go with blue."

Momoko grinned. "Hi Robin! You too? I mean grey is nice and I don't mind the sparkling, but I like colour. And you totally look like a blue!"

"Thanks! Yeah the sparkling is nice. Imagine how bad it would be if they were just plain grey."

She sighed and shook her head. "I do like grey sometimes, but that would be too much. Especially if you can't not wear it; that's just mean."
