Second floor common room, Monday lunch time

Priestly had had every intention of hiding in his room after his class today, but he didn't have any food in the room, and, well, Malcolm hadn't exactly eaten much while lost in the closet yesterday.

Holy crap, how was he ever going to live that down? He'd figured out quick enough that other students had had the same sort of experience over the weekend, but he was pretty sure he was the only one who'd ended up stupid enough not to be able to find their way out of a tiny room with only one door.

So, anyway, here he was in the common room, cooking up massive amounts of steak and cheese sandwiches for anyone who might happen to stop by. Nothing said "please don't remember me as the preppie idiot I've spent the last six months trying very hard to avoid being seen as" better than a whole lot of greasy, steaming meat and cheese.

"That's what legwarmers are for," Claudia said.

Priestly barked out a surprised laugh. "Leg warmers?"

"I'm going to bring them back," Claudia told him. "They're all warm and colorful..."

"Well, yeah, they'd look great on you." Claudia could make a garbage bag look good, and Priestly had a feeling she probably had, at some point. "But I don't think leg warmers are really, uh, my thing."

"If you're going to go for the mini skirt, you might as well go the whole way," Claudia teased. "But don't ask to borrow my shoes."

"I get the feeling they wouldn't fit." Priestly grinned suddenly. "Of course, if I'm wearing the skirt, it's only fair you should wear a suit."

"I look awesome in suits," Claudia said, grinning back.

"Then I think we have ourselves a deal. So long as you're okay with my skirt being more kilty than anything else."

He didn't own any others, after all.

Priestly took her hand for a shake, then tried diverting it up for a hand-kiss.

Okay, so maybe a little excessively cute. But he had a lot to make up for, thanks to Malcolm.
