The Range - Girls With Guns [Tuesday afternoon]

Triela looked almost happy enough to be whistling merrily when she arrived to set up for club today. She wasn't the whistling sort, so of course she didn't actually whistle, but she still looked like she might bust out at any moment.

Usually her first order of business was normally to go through her gun cases, but today things were a bit different. Before anything else she hung up a poster. It was an extremely precisely drawn (if thoroughly boring) two-column affair. "Paint ball" and "Laser tag" were written neatly at the top with a line drawn between them and plenty of space under them.

"Write your name under whichever activity sounds more fun to you," she told people as they began to arrive.

Yep. Someone looked a bit smug.

"Hey, Triela." Dinah came in at some point after a rehearsal that hasn't happened yet and looked at the two poster options. "Do we know when we want to do this yet?"

"Not yet. I'm still looking at potential locations. Probably sometime in early March, though. If things work out."

After the meeting was over and most of the students had cleared out, there was the usual cleanup to do. And Algren, being the supervisor, remained behind to help.

It was entirely about the cleanup, yes.

"Another successful meeting," he said, approaching Triela with a nod.

"Yep," she nodded, standing in front of the sign-up poster. "It's looking like there's plenty of interest for a field trip, too." Then she shrugged and started cleaning up all the spent casings left behind.

Tahiri had perched herself on the edge of a nearby table, bare feet swinging casually as she inspected the charge on her blaster's power pack.

People were back to normal, she'd had fun with Firekeeper and Blind Seer yesterday, and things were going well. Yay for a good day.

"You look rather pleased," Triela said with a grin when she looked over from where she was reloading one of her guns.

Helen wasn't certain this club thing was doing much in the way of helping her make new friends. But she was here. And the target practice couldn't hurt.

Momoko was feeling much better after her rooftop sulking fit last night and today spending an entire class eating chocolate. She wasn't at full hyper, but she was respectably bouncy and definitely ready to practice shooting.

Especially since Other-Blossom hadn't liked guns.

Agnes borrowed a gun and settled into to shoot at things. Her aim was pretty bad, but it was steadily improving.

Dinah felt a lot better after talking to Triela and Mr. Algren. But it was still a relief to have something to inflict damage on. Even if it was very very carefully, since this was only her second week.

Jen wasn't in much of a mood to talk, today, so she went straight to an alley and started unloading on a target with a blaster in each hand.

It helped, but only a little.

She had to replace a lot of targets, though.

She may not be able to shoot a hole in a ceiling with her eyes, but she had definitely learned how to shoot the heck out of a target with a (borrowed) gun. And Momoko proceeded to do just that.

He also looks and feels quite spectacularly hung over. But he's going to stick it out. He's had worse splitting headaches amidst more constant gunfire in the past, damn it.
