4th Floor Common Room [Sunday, Around Midday]

Angela had been up late watching movies last night, so she was up late today. Most teenagers would agree that mornings were not meant for being awake for anyway. Especially not when it was a Sunday.

Eventually she made it to the common room. And now? She was dancing to whatever was playing on MTV and cooking breakfast.

Uh. Sort of. if you could call toasting ready-made waffles 'cooking'. Angela did.

"Oh, I know her," Angela said with a nod as she put another couple of waffles on. "403," she added in return. "I have a roommate too."

"Most people, I t-think, start off with a roommate at least," she admitted. "So it's n-not so surprising that people would h-have them."

"True, but I know a few people without, so..." Angela shrugged with a little smile. "Why not clarify."

"True enough," she agreed. "Though I think I r-rather having a roommate than not. I suppose s-some people would prefer to not."

"I wouldn't trade mine for anything," Angela confirmed. "And I have had offers."

She was fairly sure Peyton hadn't been serious, but still.

That got a soft laugh.

"And the offer w-was not enticing enough?"

"I got offered a trade," she said. "And while I'm sure the girl is perfectly nice..." Angela shook her head. "No."

"If it's not b-broken, don't fix it?" she said. "Wise words, t-that."

"I'd have to say so," Angela said, nodding in agreement.

"Have you enjoyed the last few days?" she asked, poking at the toaster to make it hurry up.

Hinata shrugged. "It was n-not much different from every other day," she admitted. "So the celebration h-had little to do with me though I got some l-lovely flowers."

"Oh, same for me," Angela told her. "But my room does smell amazing now. All floral."

"Yei, my c-cat," she said, "keeps a-attempting to chew on them. I think s-she thinks they are a toy for her to play with."

"Awww." Angela grinned at that. "Game for you to try and keep them away from her, I guess, too?"

"I can't b-bring myself to scold her a great deal about it," she admitted, looking rueful. "So she d-does indeed think it's a game. Most of the time it is n-not so bad."

"Adorable at the very least?" Angela guessed.

"Very much so," she said. "And k-knows the best moment to purr and l-look innocent."

"What's she look like?" Angela asked, fishing out a couple of waffles for Hinata from the toaster.

"White," she explained, getting utensils from a drawer so she did not feel entirely useless, "v-very fuzzy, with b-blue eyes."

"Officially sounds very cute," Angela decided.

"You want syrup or anything on this?"

"No thank you," she said easily. "It'd be t-too sweet for me. And I think s-she is, but I am biased of course."

Angela shrugged. Her own sweet tooth wasn't necessarily everyone else's.

"I think you're allowed to be when it's your own pet."

"It might e-even be a rule," she mused. "In the p-pet owner's handbook. Have you a p-pet?"

Angela shook her head. "I don't really trust myself with that sort of responsibility," she said with a smile.

She nodded. "Then it's b-better not to, that makes s-sense."

"I'm thinking I should get a plant instead," she said. "Way less trouble, and I still get to ooh and awww over everyone elses adorable creatures."
