The Range - Girls With Guns [Tuesday afternoon]

In addition to her usual stack of gun cases, Triela brought in a dozen new ones this week. She stacked them up on top of each other and opened the one on top to reveal that it held a laser tag gun. She pulled it out and checked it over. Which actually took longer than one might expect. After all, Triela didn't have much experience with the things so it took some work to figure out what buttons and switches did what. Satisfied, she returned the gun to its case.

As people started to arrive she explained. "Based on our extremely scientific polling system it has been decided that our field trip will involve laser tag. For those of you who are unfamiliar I brought some of the guns we'll be using in case you want to look them over. You're welcome to borrow them for the duration of today's meeting. The other half of the gear, the vests, isn't here, so this isn't the real thing, but I thought some of you might want to try it out."

She grinned. "Well? Get to it."

"Are you going on the cruise next week, Triela?" Dinah asked, turning her lazer gun around and sighting down it. Zzzzzing!

"I'm not entirely sure, but I suspect so." Triela smiled just a bit. "I haven't heard officially, but I think the Agency will send me along."

Jack waved at Dinah. From a distance. Because she had a gun that looked like it belonged in spy movies.

Maybe he could outrun the laser if she pointed it in his direction.

"Dinah, Dinah, Dinah! Laser guns!" Momoko called as she bounced her way towards the other girl, waving a laser gun in the air. Who needed island weirdness to turn five?

"Look, look! This one looks exactly like the one in episode twenty-three of Miracle Fighting Ace where Ace has to defeat the evil Lord Black Deuce which he can only do if he gains a weapon from the ancient space warrior pirates! Only the colour is wrong and this piece should really be over here and it's a laser when the Ancient Pirates only used photon beams after the war. But since they don't have Miracle Fighting Ace here, I forgive them! Lasers are still cool!" She posed, holding the gun beside her head with both hands and stretching the opposite leg to its furthest.

Jack was eager to get his hands on these laser guns to make sure they weren't designed by a Bund villain.

Lion-o was grinning from ear-to-ear. Between the idea of a laser tag field trip and the spring break trip, he was excited.

Naomi had never fired a laser tag gun before so she was looking forward to getting the opportunity to do that.

There are plenty of laser tag guns to go around. They're less fun without the vests, but what can you do? You're welcome to shoot regular guns too, of course.

Jack decided to go a few rounds with a regular gun, just to get warmed up. Afterwards....with the laser gun...

"Aw, man, I can't draw a smiley face with this!"

Dinah practiced with the normal guns, eye and ear protection in place, slowly improving her aim.
