The Range - Girls With Guns [Tuesday afternoon]

In addition to her usual stack of gun cases, Triela brought in a dozen new ones this week. She stacked them up on top of each other and opened the one on top to reveal that it held a laser tag gun. She pulled it out and checked it over. Which actually took longer than one might expect. After all, Triela didn't have much experience with the things so it took some work to figure out what buttons and switches did what. Satisfied, she returned the gun to its case.

As people started to arrive she explained. "Based on our extremely scientific polling system it has been decided that our field trip will involve laser tag. For those of you who are unfamiliar I brought some of the guns we'll be using in case you want to look them over. You're welcome to borrow them for the duration of today's meeting. The other half of the gear, the vests, isn't here, so this isn't the real thing, but I thought some of you might want to try it out."

She grinned. "Well? Get to it."

"Cool.yay! And I'm glad we picked these, and not paintguns." Dinah frowned, fiddlng with her control, then said, "How much notice do those guys give you, usually?"

See, and she'd been doing so well, not asking.

"You don't like paint ball?" Triela asked curiously.

Then she shrugged. "Depends on the mission. I've run stuff on less than an hour's notice, and sometimes we spend a couple of weeks planning."

"I do, I just know what kind of bruises it leaves. And that makes sparring harder." She grinned a little, nodding and filing that away. "Plus, I've never played with the lazer guns before." Zzzzzzzing! "Thanks, Triela."

"Hey," Triela shrugged the thanks away, "part of the reason I started the club was to give people a chance to get better with guns. There's more to it than just shooting at unmoving targets."
